  • Patent number: 10367710
Abstract: A method and apparatus may include determining a root. The root includes a first node within a cluster of nodes of a network. The method may also include generating at least one network dependency between the root and a second node. The at least one generated network dependency corresponds to a connection between nodes of the network. The at least one generated network dependency corresponds to a directional path from the apparatus to the second node. The method may include polling the second node. The polling occurs via the at least one network dependency that has been generated between the apparatus and the second node. The method may also include determining that the second node is unreachable. The method may also include generating activated alerts relating to the unreachable second node, if any of the parent nodes of the second node are determined to be reachable by the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9785616
Abstract: A method and apparatus can be configured to receive a data set of values relating to a process. The data set of values correspond to values measured while the process is performed over a duration of time. The method also includes performing first statistical calculations on a first data subset of values. The values of the first data subset is a subset of the entire received data set of values. The values of the first data subset of values correspond to values that are of a first timeframe of the duration of time. The method also includes displaying first calculated results of the first statistical calculations. The method also includes determining whether performing the process has crossed a first threshold baseline. The first threshold baseline is based on the first statistical calculations. The method also includes transmitting a first alert to a user if the process is determined to have crossed the first threshold baseline.

  • Patent number: 8527800
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a method, apparatus, system, and/or computer program for monitoring energy consumption in a network and producing a display grid that provides a visual depiction of network device power consumption at any given time. The method includes, in one example, receiving a request for a power level schedule for a network device. The request may include a time period or date range over which the power level schedule should be produced. The method may also include retrieving Cron job strings associated with the network device, and parsing the Cron job strings to determine transitions from one power level to another and times for the transitions of the power level of the network device. The method further includes building a visual grid that depicts the power level schedule for the network device during each hour of the time period, based on the determined transitions.
