  • Patent number: 9394808
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating a gas turbine (11) comprising a compressor (14), which is equipped with variable inlet guide vanes (13) and receives at its inlet an inlet air flow, which has passed a temperature-affecting air inlet system (12a), a combustor (15, 15?) and a turbine (16, 16?). In a closed loop control scheme, a control variable indicative of the turbine outlet temperature (TAT2) is generated, and the air inlet system (12a) and/or the variable inlet guide vanes (13) are controlled in accordance with said control variable such that the turbine outlet temperature (TAT2) is kept at or above a desired setting value (TAT2min).

  • Publication number: 20150027129
Abstract: In order to improve the cooling of an air-cooled gas turbine in the partial load operating mode it is proposed to provide a connecting line between two cooling air lines with different pressure levels, which connecting line leads from the second cooling air line at a relative high pressure level to the first cooling air line at a relative low pressure level. In this context, a cooling device for cooling an auxiliary cooling air stream, flowing from the second cooling air line into the first cooling air line, and an adjustment element are arranged in the connecting line. In addition to a gas turbine, a method for operating such a gas turbine is the subject matter of the disclosure.

  • Patent number: 7746448
Abstract: A measuring apparatus (1) for contactless detection of a distance between a surface (7) of a measurement object (8) and the measuring apparatus (1), and for simultaneous contactless visual detection of the surface (7), has a measuring head (2) holding a distance measuring device (4), a camera apparatus (5) and an illumination device (6), the illumination device (6) illuminating an operating point (9) on the surface (7) of the measurement object (8) that is simultaneously focused by the camera apparatus (5) and the distance measuring device (4). On an optical axis (10), between the illumination device (6) and the operating point (9), a mirror and filter device (11), that has at least one dichroic mirror (12) that transmits or reflects light beams as a function of wavelength, and thereby splits light reflected by the operating point (9) between the distance measuring device (4) and the camera apparatus (5), is provided.

  • Patent number: 7725210
Abstract: A method of removing unwanted coating material from cooling passages of a turbine component includes determining coordinates of the position and orientation of cooling passages at the surface of the turbine component and determining reference points in the region of the cooling passages. After coating of the turbine component, the reference points are measured once again and the thickness of the coating is calculated. In a basic processing program, the data for the position, passage orientation and coating thicknesses and also CAD data for the cooling passages are interlinked and a laser processing program is automatically adapted for each individual cooling passage. Using the laser processing program, a pulsed laser is guided over disk-shaped volume segments of the unwanted coating material and the material is removed in the process.
