  • Patent number: 7168305
Abstract: A method of securing a tire pressure-monitoring device to a vehicle wheel includes the steps of welding a bracket within a tire wheel well. The bracket assembly includes a weld surface that corresponds to a surface on the wheel rim. The weld surface includes a common curvature that matches the surface of the wheel and also includes a material compatible with welding to the wheel rim.

  • Patent number: 6645312
Abstract: A plastic air intake manifold is cleaned by a washer. The manifold is secured in a water tight chamber and immersed in water. Impellers in the chamber create turbulence in the water to remove oil and impurities located near the impellers. Air jets are activated to produce compressed air bubbles in the water which act abrasively to further clean the manifold. The water, impurities and oil are immediately removed from the chamber by a high power suction water outlet pump.

  • Patent number: 6418888
Abstract: A plurality of bosses on a lower manifold assembly are press fit into a plurality of holes in an active system body to form an air intake manifold assembly. Ultrasonic energy or heat is applied to the upper surface of the active system body proximate to each of the holes, slightly melting the outer surface of the bosses and the inner surface of the holes, creating a bond which secures the active system body to the lower manifold assembly. A compression seal can also be utilized to provide additional sealing.

  • Publication number: 20020046823
Abstract: An improved method for forming cores to be utilized in a loss core plastic molding process includes the use of a flow meter. The flow meter ensures that sufficient molten metal is delivered into a cavity for the loss core elements. In this way, the present invention eliminates the occurrence of gaps, spaces or cavities in the molded loss core part. Most preferably a magnetic flow meter is utilized which can monitor the amount of molten metal having flown through the flow meter.
