  • Patent number: 5575820
Abstract: A process for the dyeing and printing of organic material, in particular fibre material, which comprises applying dyes containing at least one polymerisable double bond together with at lease one colourless cationic compound containing at least one polymerisable double bond and, if desired, one or more colourless nonionic compounds containing at least one polymerisable double bond and, if desired, further auxiliaries to the organic material, in particular fibre material, and then fixing them by means of ionizing radiation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 2, 1994
Date of Patent: November 19, 1996
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy Corporation
    Inventor: Katharina Fritzsche
  • Patent number: 5409504
Abstract: The invention provides a process for fixing dyes on organic material, which comprises fixing dyes containing at least one polymerizable double bond or at least one polymerizable ring system, in the presence of at least one colorless binder which contains at least one polymerizable double bond, and at least one photosensitizer, as well as further optional auxiliaries, by subjecting said material to irradiation with UV light. The invention also provides a dyeing formulation which enables the dyeing to be fixed by the inventive process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 8, 1992
Date of Patent: April 25, 1995
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy Corporation
    Inventor: Katharina Fritzsche
  • Patent number: 5389108
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for fixing dyes on organic material, which comprises fixing dyes containing at least one polymerizable double bond or at least one polymerizable ring system, excluding water-soluble dyes which carry acrylamido or methacrylamido groups, together with at least one substantially colorless compound which contains at least one polymerizable double bond, by subjecting said organic material, which has a residual moisture content of less than 20%, based on the treated material, to ionizing radiation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 14, 1992
Date of Patent: February 14, 1995
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy Corporation
    Inventors: Katharina Fritzsche, Martin Trottmann
  • Patent number: 5238465
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for fixing dyes which contain at least one polymerisable double bond and/or at least one polymerisable ring system on moist fibre material using ionising radiation together with at least one colorless compound which contains at least one polymerisable double bond, but not N-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylolacrylamide or N,N-di(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylol)acrylamide.
