Abstract: A method of attaching a mounting bracket to a substrate having a throughhole includes providing the bracket with two clamp halves. One of the clamp halves is translated in a radially inward direction relative to a body of the bracket to thereby place the one clamp half in a stowed position. The bracket is partially inserted through the throughhole such that the one clamp half in the stowed position passes through the throughhole and the other clamp half does not pass through the throughhole. After the partially inserting step, the one clamp half is translated in a radially outward direction relative to the body of the bracket to thereby place the one clamp half in an operable position. A threaded member that is threadedly engaged to the one clamp half is rotated to thereby move the one clamp half toward the other clamp half until the substrate is clamped between the two clamp halves.

Abstract: A surveillance camera housing contains a crown plate with voids and radially extending flanges which engage corresponding radially extending flanges and voids in a mounting cap. A radial gasket is disposed upon said crown plate and electrical connectors are disposed within said radial gasket. In operation, the flanges of the crown plate are placed within the voids of the mounting cap and the flanges of the mounting cap are placed in the voids of the crown plate. When the housing is further lifted vertically a horizontal plane defined by the crown plate flanges rises above a horizontal plane defined by the mounting cap flanges. The housing is then rotated so that the crown plate flanges rest upon the mounting cap flanges.

Abstract: A surveillance housing assembly comprises an outer shell having a top wall portion and side wall portion, wherein the side wall portion extends in a downward direction from the top wall portion to thereby define a first cavity. An inner shell comprises a top wall portion for mounting engagement with an underside of the top wall portion of the outer shell within the first cavity. The inner shell further comprises a top wall portion and a side wall portion, wherein the side wall portion extends in a downward direction from the top wall portion to thereby define a second cavity.
