  • Publication number: 20240164703
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for a sepsis alert engine for sepsis detection. In one example, a computing device comprising a display screen displays a menu listing one or more electronic medical records (EMRs) of one or more patients, and additionally is configured to display a sepsis alert graphical user interface (GUI) accessible from the menu while the one or more EMR systems are in an un-launched state. The sepsis alert GUI displays a sepsis level element identifying a sepsis level for each patient displayed as well as a limited list of criteria that triggered the identified sepsis level. The limited list of criteria is obtained from the one or more EMRs and each criterion in the limited list is selectable to launch a pop-up UI with additional information relating to the identified sepsis level.

  • Publication number: 20230178223
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for automatically generating a recommendation to downgrade a patient from an intensive care unit (ICU) to a different medical unit. In one embodiment, a method for a patient downgrade recommendation system comprises, for each patient of a plurality of selected patients of the ICU, selecting a set of downgrade criteria for the patient; from a first, larger set of patient data of the patient, automatically compiling a second, smaller set of patient data based on the set of downgrade criteria; applying a set of rules associated with the set of downgrade criteria to the second, smaller set of patient data to generate a downgrade recommendation for the patient; and arranging the graphical downgrade recommendation elements of the plurality of selected patients in a single integrated view of a user interface a display device of the patient downgrade recommendation system.

  • Publication number: 20230178192
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for automatically generating downgrade recommendations. In one embodiment, a method for a patient downgrade recommendation system includes displaying a menu listing one or more options for retrieving data of one or more patients from a plurality of databases and systems of a hospital, the plurality of databases and systems including one or more electronic health record (EHR) systems, and displaying a recommendation graphical user interface (GUI) that displays, for each patient, a downgrade recommendation recommending whether or not to downgrade the patient, the downgrade recommendation being selectable to add additional display elements to the recommendation GUI display panel identifying parameters from the retrieved data from the one or more EHR systems that triggered a displayed downgrade recommendation, wherein the recommendation GUI is displayed while the one or more EHR systems are in an un-launched state.

  • Publication number: 20190335301
Abstract: A device receives data containing short message service (SMS) messages to be delivered to target recipients, information regarding the target recipients, and a message delivery hours constraint. The device stores the data in records, determines that an SMS message, that is included in a record, is to be processed for delivery, and processes the SMS message to generate a parsed SMS message. The device assigns the parsed SMS message to a time-zone-based job queue based on a time zone identified for the target recipient, determines whether the message delivery hours constraint, relative to the time zone, is satisfied, and performs one or more actions to cause the parsed SMS message to be provided to a messaging platform for delivery to the target recipient based on determining that the message delivery hours constraint, relative to the time zone, is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20070135675
Abstract: An infant warmer for supporting an infant upon an infant platform. A radiant heater is located above the infant platform to direct infrared energy toward an infant positioned upon the infant platform. There is a pre-heat cycle that is carried out by a controller of the radiant heater that may be activated, manually or automatically, at the start-up of the infant warmer. The pre-warm cycle then warms the infant platform as well as other surfaces in close proximity thereto in order to heat those components prior to the infant being placed on the infant platform. The pre-warm cycle continues until those components are sufficient heated whereupon a signal, audible, visual or both, alerts the user that the pre-heat cycle has been completed and the infant warmer is ready to receive the infant. By warming those components, the possibility of hypothermia of the infant is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050115568
Abstract: A prophylactic device includes a panty having a crotch portion and an elongated pouch disposed on the crotch portion. The pouch is made of an elastic material, and the panty and the pouch are integrally formed. The pouch can include longitudinal pleats, and an interior of the panty can include a plurality of raised protrusions positioned to facilitate positioning of the panty on a user. The rear portion of the panty can include a sculpted portion that is configured to curve inward to conform to the shape of a user's lower back when the panty is in an in-use configuration. The prophylactic device can be produced by a dipping process that results in a device with a thicker pouch than panty.
