  • Patent number: 11207133
Abstract: Virtual objects can be affixed to geo-registered tools (e.g., platform, knife, etc.) that interact with items (e.g., anatomic structures) within 3D volumes. For example, a 27-foot virtual wand can be affixed to a 1-foot long geo-registered wand and the resulting multi-part wand can be moved another two feet within a 3D volume in response to movement of the geo-registered wand to reach an object 30 feet away in the 3D volume. Various other interaction techniques are disclosed. The techniques may be used in a variety of applications possibly including, but not limited to, medicine, gaming, education, carpentry, manufacturing, or other industries.

  • Patent number: 11188800
Abstract: A method, software and apparatus are disclosed to improve security by helping determine whether a bag contains a prohibited item. A CT scan of a bag is performed to generate an image. An artificial intelligence algorithm is performed to classify portions of an image as normal and portions of said image as abnormal. A first type of image processing for said normal portion(s) of said image. A second type of image processing for said abnormal portion(s) of said image wherein said second type of image processing is different from said first type of image processing. The normal portion(s) of the image are displayed with said first type of image processing and said abnormal portion(s) of the image are displayed with said second type of image processing to a TSA Agent for analysis of said image. In the preferred embodiment, the TSA Agent will perform the analysis on an extended reality head display unit.

  • Patent number: 11158045
Abstract: Digital breast tomosynthesis represents an enhanced type of mammogram for detecting breast cancer. In this disclosure, data from digital breast tomosynthesis is reconstructed into a volumetric database with each voxel having a (x, y, z) coordinate and viewed in true 3D using geo-registered head display unit and geo-registered tools for overall enhanced diagnosis. The breast is imaged under various configurations and the internal architecture of an anatomic feature three-dimensionally analyzed. • Patent number: 11135419
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer system product for improving cardiac output from the heart is presented. A balloon is placed within a chamber of a heart wherein the balloon encloses a mechanical expansion device and air. During a first time epoch in which the heart chamber is volumetrically contracting (during emptying), a mechanical expansion device causes the balloon to increase in size, which improves ejection fraction. During a second time epoch in which the heart chamber is volumetrically expanding (during filling), the mechanical expansion device causes the balloon to decrease in size, which improves filling.

  • Patent number: 11113453
Abstract: A method and apparatus comprising generating a dynamic content blocker. An image, which may be comprised of words, symbols and pictures, is segmented into items. Each item is analyzed by an artificial intelligence algorithm. Items can be determined by the AI algorithm to be of non-interest. The dynamic content blocker consists of a blocking image, which is dynamically placed over the items of non-interest, as determined by the AI. If the AI determines that the items are of interest, then these items will remain visible to the user. This will therefore generate a more eye-appealing image for the user and improve the presentation of imagery to a user.

  • Patent number: 11093051
Abstract: This patent provides a method and apparatus for improving the spatial resolution of the display, so that it appears less pixelated. This is accomplished by generating a first portion of an image that corresponds to a user's fovea and a second portion of the image that corresponds to areas of non-fovea regions of the retina. For the region of the image that corresponds to the fovea, the display uses high spatial resolution of pixels, so that the display is optimized for the user's central vision which has the highest visual acuity. For regions of the image that do not correspond to the fovea, the display uses a lower spatial resolution of pixels. Furthermore, the first portion of the image with the high spatial resolution can be moved within the image so as to accommodate various look angles and convergence points of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210065900
Abstract: A computerized medical diagnostic system uses a training dataset that is updated based on reports generated by a radiologist. AI and/or CAD is used to make an initial determination of no finding, finding, or diagnosis based on the training dataset. Normal results with a high confidence of no finding are not reviewed by the radiologist. Low confidence results, findings, and diagnosis are reviewed by the radiologist. The radiologist generates a report that associates terminology and weighting with marked 3D image volumes. The report is used to update the training dataset.
