  • Publication number: 20090283043
Abstract: For a teat cup, a teat cup rubber liner (1) is proposed having a head part (2) having an inlet orifice (3) for a teat of an animal, this inlet orifice (3) being limited by an annular tube (4) and having a shaft part (5) connected to the head part (2), wherein, between the head part (2) and the shaft part (5), a region (6) is provided which makes possible relative motion between the head part (2) and the shaft part (5).

  • Patent number: 6640744
Abstract: According to the invention, a liner is provided for use with a substantially undeformable teatcup shell (40), for forming a two-chambered teatcup, by means of which milk is extracted from a teat (Z) in a suction milking process through a milking vacuum provided during a milking phase, and the teat is massaged during a rest phase, wherein the liner comprises a head part (12) that is substantially rotationally symmetrical relative to its longitudinal axis and a barrel part (14) that is connected to the head part (12) by means of a transitional part (22), the barrel part (14) is flexible, surrounds the teat and reacts to alternating changes in pressure during the milking and rest phases by changing its form, the head part (12) is formed as an annular tube (16), which forms an insertion opening (18) for the teat (Z), and which ensures sealing relative to the milking vacuum and the best possible grip of the liner to the teat without excessively constricting the teat during both the milking and the rest phases, the

  • Patent number: 6202593
Abstract: A teat rubber cup comprising a head member substantially rotationally symmetric with a longitudinal axis, with an aperture for insertion of the teat, a retaining edge to engage over a teat cup sleeve, and a suction stub joined to the head member, the end of the head member opposite the teat insertion aperture merging into the retaining edge. The wall of the head member is stiffened in a region located between the teat insertion aperture and the transition to the retaining edge, and the upper end of the suction stub merges into this stiffened part of the head member. The part of the teat rubber cup head located between the stiffened part and the retaining edge is made at least partly elastic. During the suction phase a compressive force acts on the section of the head member located between the stiffened part of the head member and the retaining edge, the force endeavouring to move that section towards the outside of the suction stub.
