  • Publication number: 20030147778
Abstract: Disclosed is to improve the reliability of and lower the cost for an automatic analyzing apparatus for analyzing a biological sample such as urine or blood, by integrating the mechanisms of a dispenser and an agitator to reduce the number of parts. In an automatic analyzing apparatus of the type for analyzing a sample by dispensing the sample and a reagent into a reaction container and by agitating and mixing the sample and the reagent, an agitating motor head is mounted on a sampling arm so that the sampling mechanism is also used as an agitating arm turning mechanism and a vertical moving mechanism. Water for cleaning the reaction container is injected by a reagent dispensing probe.

  • Publication number: 20030062135
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a coating film transfer tool which is made smaller to provide superior portability and which can implement the replacement of a used up coating film transfer tape with fewer operations. According to the invention, there is provided a coating film transfer tool which can facilitate the replacement of coating film transfer tapes markedly by constructing such that when the main body is divided to be opened for supply of the refill for replacement the head automatically rotates to the tape replacement position, whereas when the main body is closed after the replacement with the refill has been completed the tape is automatically taken up to be wrapped around the distal end portion of the head whereby transfer work becomes possible.

  • Patent number: 6522976
Abstract: An automatic analysis system that, even if one module out of a plurality of analysis modules becomes analysis-incapable, allows the analysis to be continued without stopping the entire system. The automatic analysis system has a plurality of analysis modules 5, 6, 7, and 8, and a transferring line 3 for transferring specimens to these analysis modules. During the analysis operation by the entire system, each analysis module is controllable as a standby state, namely, as a single-body analysis module in a state of being independent and being cut off from the control of the entire system.

  • Patent number: 6409968
Abstract: An automatic analysis apparatus comprises a reaction disk having many reaction containers arranged on it. A sample is pipetted from a sample container into the reaction containers, number of which is equal to number of analysis items pre-instructed to be analyzed. At the same time, the identical sample is pipetted into a backup reaction container for backing up the inspection. After that, analysis operation in regard to the instructed analysis items is performed and a first analysis result is obtained. If it is judged from the analysis result that re-analysis is necessary, the backup sample in regard to the sample corresponding to the judgment is pipetted from the backup reaction container into a new reaction container. Then, the analysis operation in regard to the sample is performed again.

  • Publication number: 20020006668
Abstract: A diluting solution moving unit moves a diluting solution in forward and reverse directions in a flow path. A probe is connected to the flow path through a T-junction and sucks a sample. A sample syringe is connected to the flow path through a T-junction. A control unit performs controlling so that the diluting solution moving unit is driven to move the diluting solution in the flow path and the sample syringe is driven to make the probe suck the sample into the flow path to thereby dilute the sucked sample with the diluting solution and further driven so that the sample solution diluted with the diluting solution is delivered from the probe into any one of reaction containers. There can be provided a dispensing apparatus in which dilution of the sample is made in a short time and in which the accuracy of the diluting rate is improved.

  • Patent number: 6206072
Abstract: A hand held film-transferring device for transferring a film made of correction agent, fluorescent agent, or a similar film onto a surface, such as a sheet of paper. In the disclosed invention a film-transferring tape can be kept as a spare without requiring the feed reel and the take-up reel to be integrally united into a fixed set of reels as in the conventional devices, thereby reducing necessary materials and making it easy to store and carry the film-transferring tape. The improvement includes a peg attached to the leading end of the film-transferring tape and the take-up reel. The film-transferring head can be put into a position ready for film transfer by rotating the film-transferring head only 360°, thereby facilitating exchange of the film-transferring tapes.

  • Patent number: 5677188
Abstract: An analyzing method and apparatus for a liquid sample are determines in which the value of density or activity for an analysis item is through optical measurement of a reaction solution of a liquid sample and a reagent. When an instruction of measurement for a plurality of analysis items about each sample on a sample disk is inputted, a controller selects for each sample an analysis item in which a time duration from the start of a reaction until the final optical measurement point is the longest, and allots the selected analysis item to a loading reaction vessel while allotting the remaining analysis items to the succeeding reaction vessels in a sequence from an item having a longer time duration. A sample supplying device and a reagent supplying device make necessary operations on the basis of the sequence of arrangement of the analysis items in which the minimum time is obtained, and a reaction solution is optically measured by a fixed photometer.

  • Patent number: 5670114
Abstract: An analyzer for chemically analyzing biological samples delivers required reagents in a plurality of reagent bottles to reaction containers corresponding to analysis items. A reagent which becomes deteriorated by carbonic acid gas is registered in advance, and it is judged by a control device whether such a reagent bottle is loaded in the reagent containing chamber or not. If such a reagent bottle is loaded in the reagent containing chamber, a purge gas for sweeping-out air containing carbonic acid gas is supplied to the reagent containing chamber. The flow rate of the purge gas is controlled so as to be large during an initial period of analysis preparation stage and is then decreased.

  • Patent number: 5473551
Abstract: An automatic analyzer wherein a part exchange judging section judges whether or not the current time reached an exchange date of one of constituent parts of the automatic analyzer. When the part exchange judging section judges that the current time has reached the exchange date of one of the constituent parts, the part exchange judging section delivers a command to display an alarm notifying the exchange of the one of the constituent part on a CRT. A K-factor update judging section judges whether or not the part to be exchanged affects the K factor and the K factor is to be updated. When the K-factor update judging section judges that the K factor is to be updated, an alarm notifying the update of the K factor is displayed on the CRT. The alarm notifying the update of the K factor is displayed until the K factor is updated. Further, each of various kinds of standardized protocols is also automatically executed.

  • Patent number: 5434083
Abstract: An annular train of reaction vessels is formed on an intermittently rotatable turntable. In order to measure test items requiring different analysis times, samples and necessary reagents are successively added to the reaction vessels. The analysis times for the test items assigned to the respective reaction vessels are stored in association with positions or numbers of the reaction vessels. Reactions for the test items requiring different analysis times proceed in parallel on the turntable. The reaction vessel whose required analysis time has expired is renewed by a vessel renew device such as a washing device and prepared for receiving the next sample. When a sample for a test item requiring a short analysis time is added to a second reaction vessel after a sample for a test item requiring a long analysis time has been added to a first reaction vessel, the second reaction vessel is renewed earlier than the first reaction vessel.

  • Patent number: 5037612
Abstract: A row composed of reaction vessels is arranged on a turntable and one unit of sample dispenser mechanism as well as one photometer and a plurality units of reagent feeding mechanism are arranged near the turntable. After a sample is added to one specified reaction vessel, the turntable is rotated by 180.degree. or more and stopped so as to advance the reaction vessel containing said sample by half a revolution plus one cell. During this rotation, approximately half of all the vessels cross the light path of the photometer for the absorbance of fluid in each vessel to be measured.A reagent is added to the specified reaction vessel at the next stop position after sampling in order to start reaction. The turntable is again rotated and stopped so as to advance the reaction vessel by half a revolution plus one cell. During this rotation, the reaction vessel crosses said light path of the photometer for the absorbance of the reaction fluid to be measured.
