  • Patent number: 5958114
Abstract: An indoor unit of an air-conditioner having a unit body, provided on a rear of a ceiling, having an lower surface portion exposed indoor and an indoor heat exchanger and a blower in its exterior, a decorative panel, structured as the lower surface portion for the unit body, having an inlet port for guiding air in a room to the indoor heat exchanger, a filter fixing portion, structured as a part of the decorative panel, having a filter attached to a position opposite to the inlet port to be detachable, a support portion for supporting the filter fixing portion to be freely rotatable to the decorative panel, and an open/close driving mechanism for driving the filter fixing portion to be freely opened and closed against the decorative panel in a state that the support portion is used as a fulcrum, the mechanism for hanging the filter fixing portion from a ceiling surface when being opened to be moved.

  • Patent number: 5170936
Abstract: A heat pump type apparatus with an air heating mode which heats a whole space using an internal heat-exchanger, a floor heating mode which heats the floor around the space using a floor heating panel, and a combined use of both type heating. In the combined use mode, the apparatus compensates the desired preset room temperature by a specified value in response to the results of a comparison of an actual floor temperature and a desired preset floor temperature.

  • Patent number: 5088646
Abstract: A refrigeration cycle constitutes a closed cycle for circulating a refrigerant therein and includes at least a variable capacity compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve, and an indoor heat exchanger. The indoor heat exchanger is provided with temperature sensor and an indoor fan. A floor heating panel is connected in parallel with the indoor heat exchanger. The panel is provided with a floor temperature sensor. A flow control valve is arranged in a refrigerant upstream side of the panel at a heating operation. A controller controls the compressor, the fan, and the valve in a first state at the start of a heating operation to simultaneously start air heating by the indoor heat exchanger and floor heating by the panel. The compressor, the fan, and the valve are controlled in a second state when a detection output from the room temperature sensor reaches a preset value, thereby maintaining a room temperature and increasing a floor temperature.

  • Patent number: 5025638
Abstract: A refrigeration cycle is a closed cycle constituted by a variable power compressor, a four-way valve, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve and an outdoor heat exchanger. Air-conditioned air is supplied from the refrigeration cycle to a plurality of rooms to be subjected to air conditioning through a supply duct at a portion near a supply opening for supplying the air-conditioned air to a corresponding one of the rooms and controls a flow amount of the air-conditioned air supplied from the supply opening. Air is returned from each room to the refrigeration cycle through a return duct. The indoor heat exchanger of the refrigeration cycle has a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger. A system controller controls a drive frequency of the variable power compressor of the refrigeration cycle in accordance with a difference between the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger detected by the temperature sensor and a preset temperature of the indoor heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4977953
Abstract: A latent heat regenerating apparatus includes a regenerative tank wherein a latent heat regenerative material is housed. The material has a phase transition temperature and a supercooling-release temperature and is capable of maintaining a supercooled-state in a temperature range between the temperatures. A thermoelectric cooling element is located in the regenerative material so as to control supercooling of the material. The element has a heat radiating portion for radiating heat into the material and a heat absorbing portion for absorbing heat from the material, thereby cooling that portion of the material near the absorbing portion to a temperature lower than the supercooling-release temperature.
