  • Patent number: 5062090
Abstract: A module for a watch which indicates time based on clock signals generated by a quartz oscillator. The module includes two batteries disposed across a wheel-train. A circuit block has an arm extending to a motor coil through a space between the wheel-train bridge, supporting the wheel-train and one of the batteries. Driving signals are supplied to the coil from the circuit pattern on the arm of the circuit block.

  • Patent number: 4261049
Abstract: A wristwatch includes a module, and a display section overlying the module. The module has a recess which surrounds the display section and which accommodates a solar cell unit having a window therein for accommodating the display section. The unit is located by the co-operation of the edge of the window with projecting portions on the module. The upper surfaces of the display section and the solar cell unit are substantially flush. Support members for supporting the display section are electrically connected with a battery of the watch and have spring portions which are electrically connected to the solar cell unit.

  • Patent number: 4202166
Abstract: A solid state watch module construction has a ceramic substrate on which an integrated circuit chip is mounted to provide drive signals for causing an electro-optical display means to indicate the time. The ceramic substrate is interposed between a battery supporting frame and a cell supporting frame which positions the electro-optical display means with respect to the substrate. The battery supporting frame holds a battery in place, which is retained by a battery retaining member. A connector member is disposed between the ceramic substrate and the electro-optical display means to provide electrical connection therebetween. A plurality of tubes are used for fixedly connecting the battery supporting frame and the cell supporting frame.

  • Patent number: 3984739
Abstract: An integrated circuit package structure wherein electrodes of an integrated circiut chip are directly bonded to metal lead members within the package. A portion of the substrate is enclosed inside the package to support the package. Holes are provided on the substrate for positioning and securing the package to the substrate. The substrate has a generally rectangular opening disposed therethrough arranged and configured to receive an integrated circuit chip and at least two additional openings disposed in said substrate so as to form at least two support arms adjacent to the rectangular opening. The integrated circuit package has a top member, a bottom member and a circuit chip. The circuit chip has a plurality of electrodes disposed thereon in a predetermined configuration for selectively coupling the lead members which are disposed on the substrate.
