Patent number: 6563637Abstract: A lenticular lens sheet that is bonded to a front faceplate and used in a rear projection type screen is disclosed. The lenticular lens sheet has a plurality of lenticular lenses arranged on one surface of a light-transmitting substrate, and projecting non-convergence parts arranged on the other surface of the light-transmitting substrate in positions different to positions of convergence of light from the lenticular lenses. An external light absorbing layer that absorbs external light is provided on a summit portion of each of the projecting non-convergence parts. Also, the lenticular lens sheet and the front faceplate are bonded together at the summit portions of the projecting non-convergence parts using an adhesive, and the width of adhesive layers formed through curing of the adhesive is less than the width of the external light absorbing layers. Consequently, the adverse effects caused by blockage of light are prevented.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 2001Date of Patent: May 13, 2003Assignee: Kuraray Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiro Fujita, Osamu Shinji

Patent number: 6527531Abstract: A scroll compressor for reducing fluid leakage at step portions of scroll members and improving the compression efficiency is disclosed. The reduction of leakage and a high compression efficiency can be realized without increasing the precision in the manufacture of the members. Between the engaged scroll members, a high-pressure space is formed close to the spiral center, and among points at which the spiral walls contact with each other immediately before the innermost closed space communicates with the high-pressure space, the innermost point is defined as a base point. The angular distance from the base point to the outer end of the spiral, measured along the inner-peripheral face of the spiral wall, is approximately 4&pgr; rad. The angular distance from the base point to the step portion of each end plate, measured along the inner-peripheral face of the spiral wall, is equal to or more than approximately 3&pgr; rad.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2002Date of Patent: March 4, 2003Assignee: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiro Fujita, Makoto Takeuchi, Takahide Itoh
