    Abstract: In a stick-type ignition coil device for engines, a primary spool is disposed outside a secondary coil. The primary spool is made of PBT (polybuthylene telephthalate) having a low melting viscosity and a high flowability as a resin base material. The resin base material is admixed with an olefin rubber in 5 wt. %, glass fibers in 12.5 wt. % and silica in 12.5 wt. %. A primary coil 24 comprises a wire body coated with PET (polyethylene telephthalate), silicone or wax as a separating member, and is wound around the primary spool. The growth of trees in the primary spool 23 restricted even when electrical discharges occur between a secondary coil and the primary coil and the primary spool is eroded by the electrical discharges, because silica is added in the primary spool.

    Abstract: A molding for a vehicle and its manufacturing method, wherein a molding body excellent in rigidity is formed by a mixture of a hard olefin based resin and powders such as mica, talc, glass fibre, etc., and is coated with a protective film layer of an olefin based resin, excellent in resistance to scuffing and chemicals, on the exposed surface. An intermediate adhesive layer having a thermofusion bond property, which is an olefin based thermoplastic elastomer resin composition, or a styrene based thermoplastic elastomer resin composition, can be sandwiched between the hard olefin based resin of the molding body and olefin based resin of the protective film layer. The molding body, the intermediate adhesive layer if present, and the protective film layer are integrally molded by several extruders and firmly laminated as a whole.

    Abstract: A power control apparatus for protecting an electrical circuit from excessive current and in particular for protecting it from a large and fast transition pulse caused by a rapid current polarity transition. At least two switching devices are coupled in series or in parallel between a power supply and a load. A gate signal is generated to change the switching devices from conductive state to nonconducting state in response to detection of an excessive current state. The gate signal is delayed by a predetermined period of time to change the switching devices into the nonconducting state after all of the switching devices are saturated so that the rapid current polarity transition is eliminated.

Thus the resistor has a small inductance and is appropriate as a high frequency large current resistor.

A number "n" (an arbitrary integer) of series-coupled capacitors each having capacitance C are independently charged to produce an appropriate output voltage. The total capacitance Cs of the series-coupled capacitors is obtained as Cs=C/n. The total charge Q stored in the series-coupled capacitors is proportional to the total capacitance Cs. The series-coupled capacitors are selectively charged to produce an appropriate output voltage and the desired high power to be supplied to the load.

    Abstract: A power control circuit for replacing a current limiting fuse in an electrical protection circuit or for switching large currents rapidly has an array of transistors, each having an identical characteristic to each other and to a device under test, to provide parallel current paths. All of the rows of the transistor array are biased "on" except for a predetermined row. A gate signal is generated to control the "on/off" state of the transistors in the predetermined row, the gate signal being a function of the presence of excessive current--holding the predetermined row of transistors biased "on" in normal operation, and turning the predetermined row of transistors "off" when excessive current is detected.

An olefin polymer based resin or a foamed material thereof, is extruded from one extrusion molding machine into a mold, is so to form the weather strip body, while a mixture consisting of a base material of an olefin polymer based resin having low viscosity and high fluidity and grains of particles of an additive material of an olefin polymer based resin having a high viscosity and low fluidity is extruded from another molding machine into the mold, so as to form the protective film. The weather strip body and the protective film are co-extruded and polymerized in the mold, and a rough surface having a plurality of protrusions is formed by the grains or particles of the additive material on the surface of the protective film.

The contacting band layers are provided on the portions of the base portion and support portion where the window glass abuts. The contacting band layer is formed by extrusion simultaneously with the extrusion of the base portion and support portion, whereby a rough face is integrally formed on the surface of the contacting band layer.

    Abstract: A bright tape is attached to the outer surface of a molding fitted in a connecting portion between a window glass of a vehicle such as automobile and the like and a body panel, in which a metalized film is attached to the entire surface of a synthetic resin film. An ionomer resin layer is polymerized on the metalized film and a vinyl chloride sheet is laminated by an adhesive agent on the outer surface of the metalized film from where the synthetic resin film has been peeled off, thereby providing an excellent brightness and preventing cracks and wrinkles. Particularly, wrinkles and cracks generated when the corner portions are bent can be prevented from occurring.

    Abstract: A molding body interposed between a body panel and a glass panel to prevent stain caused by friction between the abutting portions of the molding body and the body panel includes a main molding, a auxiliary molding, and a holder. The holder has an abutting face for attachment to the body panel and an engaging piece for engaging to a lower engaging portion of the main molding. The holder is attached to the body panel, the main molding is engaged with the holder at the left and right side sections of the molding, and the glass panel is fixed by the auxiliary molding inserted between a head and the upper engaging portion of the main molding. At the upper section of the molding the glass panel is fixed to the lower face of the head of the main molding without using the auxiliary molding. The holder can be formed as a continuous piece or as a number of discrete holder sections.
