  • Publication number: 20160148381
Abstract: A category selection portion selects a face orientation based on an error between the positions of feature points (the eyes and the mouth) on the faces of each face orientation and the positions of feature points, corresponding to the feature points on the faces of each category, on the face of a collation face image. A collation portion collates the registered face images of the face orientation selected by the category selection portion and the collation face image with each other, and the face orientations are determined so that face orientation ranges where the error with respect to each individual face orientation is within a predetermined value are in contact with each other or overlap each other. The collation face image and the registered face images can be more accurately collated with each other.

  • Patent number: 9087231
Abstract: A plurality of block pairs are set by setting two of the rectangular blocks contained in one template as one block pair. A score showing a degree to which a part of an object is included in the template is held based on a relation of a relative level between block luminance values in each of the block pairs set in the template. These processes are carried out for all templates. Based on a sum of the scores of all the templates, and whether the object is included in the image is determined.

  • Patent number: 8886634
Abstract: A challenge to be met is to make it possible to accurately ascertain a behavior history of a person in various camera environments. Person characteristic data extracted from a plurality of cameras are stored in a person characteristic database. A retrieval request receiving section receives an identifier for identifying a person to be retrieved as a retrieval key. A characteristic retrieval section performs retrieval of persons matching the retrieval key from the person characteristic database in descending order of similarity. A retrieval result grouping section classifies the results of retrieval into units assumed to belong to the same environment. A retrieval result display section displays results of grouping. Since retrieval results are displayed in the form of a list on each unit assumed to belong to the same environment, the person to be retrieved can simply be ascertained in various camera environments despite a limited number of displays provided.

  • Patent number: 7880766
Abstract: A detection area adjustment apparatus automatically detects the entire target detection area without producing any dead areas and without requiring cameras to be previously fixed at regular intervals, even in the case where a camera is broken. The detection area adjustment apparatus includes plural camera terminals. Each of the plural camera terminals includes a camera whose detection area is adjustable, an adjustment unit that adjusts the position of the detection area by controlling the camera, and a communication unit that communicates the detection area information indicating the detection area of the camera. The adjustment unit adjusts the position of the detection area of the camera in the current camera terminal so that the total area of the detection areas of the plural camera terminals covers the entire target detection area based on the detection area of the camera in the current camera terminal and the detection areas of the cameras in the other camera terminals.
