  • Patent number: 6030347
Abstract: A biological-signal detecting device of a non-wrapper type for accurately detecting a biological signal of a user such as heartbeat number, respiration number or blood pressure, comprises a frame, a spring net fixed to the frame and having an elastic deformation capability to support a weight of the user, and a biological-signal detecting unit. The detecting unit is disposed on a second supporting surface of the spring net opposed to a first supporting surface of the spring net for receiving the weight of the user. The detecting unit determines the biological signal of the user according to a biological vibration which is a cyclic, minute load-variation of the user transmitted through the spring net when the weight of the user is supported by the spring net.

  • Patent number: 5952335
Abstract: Novel fused polycyclic heterocycle derivatives having excellent antitumor effects and a process for producing the same. A compound represented by the following general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof: ##STR1## wherein the ring A represents an optionally substituted monocyclic aromatic ring or a dicyclic fused ring in which at least one of the rings is an aromatic ring; the ring B represents pyrrole, 4H-1,4-oxazine, 4H-1,4-thiazine or 4(1H)-pyridone; the ring C represents an optionally substituted, monocyclic or dicyclic fused aromatic ring; and Y represents a group represented by the formula --e--f (wherein e represents a lower alkylene; and f represents amidino, guanidino or amino optionally substituted by optionally hydroxylated or optionally lower-alkylaminated lower alkyl;provided that the cases where the rings A and B are both optionally substituted monocyclic aromatic rings are excluded. Which has an excellent antitumor activity.

  • Patent number: 5354513
Abstract: Disclosed is a polarizing film comprising a hydrophobic polymer containing a dichroic organic colorant in an oriented state which is characterized in that the dichroic organic colorant is substantially insoluble in water, organic solvents and liquid crystals and the dichroic ratio of the colorant is not less than 7 when it is measured with the film obtained by blending the colorant intimately with polyethylene terephthalate, melting the resulting blend and forming it into a film. This polarizing film has exceptionally excellent moisture resistance and thermal resistance.

  • Patent number: 4829226
Abstract: A battery pack containing a rechargeable battery is detachable to a charger unit for charging under the control of a charging circuit in the charger unit. The battery pack includes a sensor output circuit which comprises a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the battery being charged. A voltage dividing resistor network is formed in the sensor output circuit and receives a constant current from the charging circuit upon attachment of the battery pack to the charger unit such that it provides an enable signal of a first voltage level to the charging circuit for allowing the charging of the battery at a first charge rate so long as the sensed battery temperature is below a predetermined reference level. When the sensed battery temperature exceeds the reference level, the voltage dividing resistor network responds to provide a stop signal of a second voltage level for inhibiting the charging at the first charge rate.
