  • Patent number: 5247360
Abstract: A contour-emphasizing apparatus for a television camera includes a level correcting circuit for correcting an image signal non-linearly to the image signal level, so that the contour signal in a dark image region, is emphasized to a greater degree than to which the contour signal in a light image region is emphasized, to thereby produce a legible sharp image.

  • Patent number: 5227869
Abstract: A method for correcting the contour of an image, in which contour signals are independently extracted from image signals obtained in a plurality of channels; the thus extracted contour signals are mixed with each other at a fixed or variable mixing ratio to produce a contour correction signals; and the thus obtained contour correction signals are added to the image signals in the respective channels. Therefore, the noise included in the contour signals are averaged so as to be decreased; and thus it is possible to prevent the decrease the SN ratio of the image signals, which is caused by correcting the contour of the image. Further, since the contour signals are independently extracted in each channel, it is possible to independently correct the contour of the image in each channel.

  • Patent number: 5179437
Abstract: A color correction apparatus for a color television camera, in which color correction is performed while comparing two images obtained from a test chart signal generated from a test chart signal-generating circuit disposed in the interior of a camera device or outside the camera device and a pick-up signal generated by photographing a test chart by a camera device. By arranging circuits for automatizing these functions, color correction based on various data is automatically carried out, and when a special effect is produced by performing color correction of other camera device based on color correction data detected by one camera device, the same color correction can be simultaneously performed in other camera device based on the color correction data of one camera device.
