    Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a wearing article improved so that various types of nonwoven fabrics can be effectively used for target nonwoven fabric without anxiety that the target nonwoven fabric once engaged with hook elements might be readily torn. As an outer sheet 8 defining a garment-facing side of a chassis 2, a commonly-used nonwoven fabric is used and this nonwoven fabric is oriented in a longitudinal direction Y. Rear waist region's side edges 14 of the chassis 2 are provided with flaps 16 attached thereto. Each of the flaps 16 has a joint region 19 along which the flap 16 is joined to the chassis 2 and first and second hook elements 21, 22. Between the joint region 19 and the first and second hook elements 21, 22 as viewed in the transverse direction X, a contractible region 23 adapted to be contractible in the transverse direction X. The contractible region 23 is provided with a plurality of flap's elastic members 24.

    Abstract: A wearing article configured so as to prevent bodily fluids from staying in the proximal side edges of the cuffs and thereby to restrict development of skin troubles such as diaper rashes due to such staying bodily fluids. The wearing article includes a chassis having an inner sheet lying on a side facing a wearer's body and an outer sheet lying on a side facing away from the wearer's body and a liquid-absorbent structure is sandwiched between these inner and outer sheet. The liquid-absorbent structure is formed with highly absorbent regions having a higher bodily fluid absorption capacity than that of a remaining region. The highly absorbent regions include front regions lying on the side of a front end and rear regions lying on the side of a rear end. The highly absorbent regions are formed by increasing a thickness of a liquid-absorbent core. Leakage-barrier cuffs are formed on the side of the inner sheet facing the wearer's body.

    Abstract: An absorbent article including a laminated piece including a liquid-permeable top sheet, a back sheet and an absorbent core interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet. The region where the absorbent core is present includes a center region extending along a lengthwise direction of the absorbent article and side regions adjacent to the center region in a crosswise direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction. The bending resistance (stiffness) of the laminated piece in the center region is higher than the bending resistance of the laminated piece in the side regions. The absorbent article can be attached in a stably fitting manner with no ready emergence of twisting or tucked-down wrinkles, when the absorbent article is overlaid on the inner face of an outer wear material.
