  • Patent number: 10300764
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method for monitoring the performance of a blower motor for a blower unit positioned in a vehicle. The method may include: diagnosing the motor based on predefined criteria and one or more physical parameters sensed by one or more sensors; identifying a performance mode from among a plurality of modes based on the diagnosis, where the plurality of modes are predefined; determining a mode message based on a signal code protocol, where the mode message is indicative of the performance mode identified and the signal code protocol associates each of the plurality of modes with a different coded signal; and transmitting a diagnostic signal that includes the mode message to a climate control module located in the vehicle separate from the motor.

  • Patent number: 10069448
Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system actuator including a stator magnet and a rotor magnet. The rotor magnet turns an axle connected to an airflow door such that rotation of the axle moves the door and generates waveforms. The number of waveforms generated corresponds to how much the axle has rotated. The stator magnet is magnetized to a saturated state, thereby providing the waveforms with a consistent shape that is consistently detectable by a climate control pulse count module.

  • Patent number: 6981690
Abstract: An air passage opening/closing device includes a film member for opening and closing an opening of an air passage of a case. One end of the film member is fixed to a fixing portion on an outer periphery of the opening of the air passage, and the other end thereof is connected to a film winding shaft. A moving member movable by rotation of a drive shaft is provided on the opening, and the film winding shaft is moved while being rotated by the movement of the moving member, so that the film member at the other end side is wound around and unwound from the film winding shaft. Accordingly, when the air passage is opened and closed by the film member, sliding friction can be prevented from being generated between the film member and the case.

  • Patent number: 6679434
Abstract: In a vehicle air conditioner, a flow control member is disposed in an inlet tank of a heating heat exchanger for heating air to be blown into a passenger compartment using a fluid as a heating source. In the heating heat exchanger, a ratio between a first area where the fluid flows, and a second area where the fluid does not flow is changed by controlling an operation position of the flow control member. Thus, a flow ratio between hot air from the first area of the heating heat exchanger and cool air from the second area thereof can be adjusted, so that the temperature of air blown into the passenger compartment can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6617842
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a test pattern enabling the detection of malfunctions produced when a semiconductor device is loaded on actual equipment prior to marketing. Using a logical analyzer, signal waveform data collected during the period of signal malfunction is acquired. This signal waveform data is converted by a test pattern generating device into a test pattern for automatic testing equipment. This test pattern is used to change data at the time of malfunction into normal data to generate a pattern of expected values for an output signal of the semiconductor device. Then, it is determined whether the input signal setting required for an output signal of the semiconductor device is present in the signal waveform data. If not, a test pattern for setting the input signal is generated. If the malfunction is reproduced in the testing equipment, the test pattern is used as a mass production test.

  • Patent number: 6569009
Abstract: An air-conditioning case of an air-conditioning unit forms air passages therein. A film member is reciprocably supported in the case and has free ends. Reinforcing members are secured to the lower end of the film member. A drive force for reciprocating the film member is applied to the film member from a motor through a drive shaft and drive gears, which are attached to the drive shaft, to open and close the air passages with the film member. When the film member is moved upwardly, the reinforcing members abut against positioning portions of the case to position the film member at a predetermined position.

  • Patent number: 6501239
Abstract: A single position-detecting means for detecting rotation positions of electric motors is provided. Positions of a plurality of driven members are detected (estimated) based on the detection results. When a request of simultaneously operating the plurality of driven members is made, by sequentially operating the plurality of driven members one by one, the rotation positions of the plurality of electric motors can be detected by the single position-detecting means.

  • Publication number: 20010005132
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a test Pattern enabling the detection of malfunctions produced on loading on an actual equipment in advance such as at the time of production testing. Using a logical analyzer, signal waveform data during a time period beginning with a first time point going back from the time of the malfunction and running until a second time point including the malfunctioning time is acquired. This signal waveform data is converted by a test pattern generating device into a test pattern for an automatic testing equipment for testing a semiconductor device as a device to be test. The test pattern so generated is output and used to change data at the time of malfunction into normal data to generate a pattern of expected values for an output signal of the semiconductor device. It is then checked whether or not input signal setting required in connection with an output signal of the semiconductor device is present in the signal waveform data.

  • Patent number: 6028802
Abstract: To operate a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) system faster and to make the DRAM system smaller, a DRAM system includes a DRAM cell array having a first bit line connected to a DRAM cell, wherein the DRAM cell stores a first voltage which is less than a second voltage, and a sense amplifier portion having a second bit line and for amplifying data of the second bit line to the first voltage. The sense amplifier portion connects electrically the first bit line and the second bit line, supplies a third voltage which is greater than the second voltage to the second bit line when the first bit line and the second bit line are connected electrically, and stops supplying the third voltage before a voltage of the second bit line reaches the first voltage.

  • Patent number: 5848003
Abstract: There are provided memory cell arrays MA1 to MA4 each of which includes a predetermined number of redundant memory cell rows and a predetermined number of redundant memory cell columns, and which are caused to partially operate by a block selecting signal BS. Replacement address programming circuits RAP1 to RAP4 of the number smaller than the number of the redundant memory cell rows, are provided. Each of the replacement address programming circuits stores the row address of a defective memory cell(s) existing in the memory cell arrays MA1-MA4, and outputs a redundant row selection discriminating signal RSJ1-RSJ4 of an activated level when a row address signal XA designates the stored row address. Further, selection circuits RS1 to RS8 are provided for selecting one of the redundant row selection discriminating signals RSJ1 to RSJ4 and selecting a corresponding redundant memory row.

  • Patent number: 5648228
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for measuring the activity of tested substances utilizing a reconstituted plasma kallikrein-kinin system. A series of enzymatic reactions is started wherein an activation of a blood coagulation factor XII is an initiating reaction. The series of reactions is started in the presence of the tested substance in the reconstituted plasma kallikrein-kinin system. Then, the series of reactions is stopped and the physiologically active substance produced in the reaction series is quantitatively determined. In the activity measuring method of the present invention, the real activity (a promoting or inhibiting ability) of the tested substance against the production of the produced physiologically active substance can be easily, simply, quickly and precisely measured. In the reconstituted plasma kallikrein-kinin reaction system the contaminating other factors are substantially removed.

  • Patent number: 5599683
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of measuring the activity of a substance to test how it inhibits or promotes the production of the blood coagulation factor XII in an active form (FXIIa). An activation reaction of the blood coagulation factor XII is initiated by adding a blood coagulation factor XII activator to an animal plasma in the presence of the tested substance. Then the reaction is stopped and the blood coagulation factor XII in an active form (FXIIa) produced in the above reaction is quantitatively determined. FXIIa plays a very important role in the initiation stage in the intrinsic blood clotting system, fibrinolysis system and plasma kallikrein-kinin system. Accordingly, the method of the present invention in which the activity of the tested substance having an inhibiting or promoting action on the production of FXIIa is measured is very highly useful in screening compounds or drugs related to blood clotting and fibrinolysis systems.
