  • Patent number: 7452931
Abstract: A viscosity modifier for plastisol compositions which contains at least one selected from the group consisting of: (A) a compound having at least one of a carboxy group or a salt thereof, an alkoxy group, and a glycidyl group; (B) amine compounds; and (C) metal chelate compounds. A plastisol composition containing the viscosity modifier and a polymer. A product having a coating layer obtained from the composition. A molded product obtained by using the composition. This viscosity modifier has an excellent effect of decreasing viscosity of a plastisol composition, thus enabling acquisition of a plastisol composition which allows an excellent cured product to be obtained at a low cost.

  • Patent number: 6316548
Abstract: A (meth)acrylic premix comprising a (meth)acrylic resin composition (A) containing a (meth)acrylic monomer (a) and a (meth)acrylic polymer (b), an inorganic filler (B), and a curing agent (C), wherein, the component (a) is a (meth)acrylate having a bicyclo ring, fluorine atom, cyclic ether, cyclohexane ring or tricyclo ring, and the component (C) is a radical polymerization initiator having a 10 hours half-life temperature of 75° C. or more; an acrylic SMC or BMC comprising this (meth)acrylic premix and a thickening agent; and a method for producing (meth)acrylic artificial marble, wherein this (meth)acrylic SMC or BMC is cured with being pressurized and heated at a temperature in the range from 105 to 150° C., are provided. These are useful for producing (meth)acrylic artificial marble having various excellent physical properties such as appearance, dimension stability, hot water resistance, weatherability.

  • Patent number: 6306502
Abstract: A coating composition forming a abrasion resistant coating comprising (A) an ultraviolet-curable silicone prepared by chemically modifying particulate colloidal silica with a specific silane compound, (B) a monomer mixture comprising a (meth)acrylate having a specific isocyanate skeleton and a urethane poly(meth)acrylate having an alicyclic skeleton, and (C) a photo-polymerization initiator. By using a urethane poly(meth)acrylate having an alicyclic skeleton as part of the component (B) and the component (A) having an enhanced reactivity of chemical modification, the compatibility of the component (A) with the component (B) is improved to give a cured coating with excellent wear resistance, weather resistance and durability.

  • Patent number: 6265467
Abstract: An acrylic SMC or BMC, in which when a polymer powder (C) having a bulk density in the range from 0.1 to 0.7 g/ml, an oil absorption of lin-seed oil in the range from 60 to 200 mi/100 g, a degree of swelling by methyl methacrylate is 16-fold or more and a specific surface area in the range from 1 to 100 m2/g is added as a thickening agent, hot water resistance is improved by using a polymer powder (C1) containing no surfactant, a polymer powder (C2) containing as a constituent component a reactive surfactant, or thickening speed is controlled by using a non-cross linked polymer powder (C3) having a Mw from 100,000 to 2,500,000, a non-crosslinked polymer powder (C4) having a Ma from 2,500,000 to 5,000,000, a crosslinked polymer powder (C5) and a polymer powder (D) having a specific surface area from 0.01 m2/g to 1 m2/g; a production method thereof; a method for producing acrylic artificial marble in which components are extruded by a kneading extruder (9) into given shape; and a thickening agent.

  • Patent number: 4828518
Abstract: A double reverse revolution propeller apparatus includes front and rear propeller wherein the rear propeller is rotated at higher speeds than the front propeller. When seizure occurs, an inner shaft is disconnected from an engine at an inner shaft connection unit and is connected to an outer shaft at an inner and outer shaft connection unit to be driven in the same direction as the outer shaft. The ratio of absorption horsepower of the front propeller to the rear propeller can to be substantially equal to the ratio of rotational speed of the front propeller to that of the rear propeller. One or both of the front and rear propeller can include a variable pitch propeller. The front propeller can have more blades than the rear propeller.
