Abstract: A radiation system includes a measuring section of position and direction for computing relative position and direction between various components of the system; an irradiation condition correcting section for obtaining positions and directions of the irradiation target regions in the images using computation results obtained by the measuring section of position and direction and compared results obtained by comparing the irradiation target regions in the images taken by an irradiation target image acquisition section, and for correcting the irradiation conditions such that the obtained position and direction are reflected in the irradiation conditions; and a control section for controlling the radiation to the irradiation target region in response to the irradiation conditions obtained as a result of the correction by the irradiation condition correcting section.

Abstract: An image merging apparatus extracts noise included in a background image, and adds the noise to a CG image, thereby producing the merged image of the CG image and the background image. It can solve a problem of a conventional image merging apparatus in that although it can suppress the Mach band taking place in an edge segment, it brings about a mismatched feeling between the CG image and the background image when combining the shaded CG image and background image because it lacks a device for combining them taking account of the color difference between the CG image and the background image, or of the noise included in the background image.

Abstract: A medical support system includes a patient-side system including patient shooting devices for photographing a patient's body and forming respective images displaying respective parts of the patient's body; a medical-side system located at a position spaced away from the patient-side system and including an image synthesizer for splicing together, at boundary portions, respective adjacent images of the patient's body to produce a composite image displaying an area of the patient's body extending across the respective images, and a display for displaying the composite image produced by the image synthesizer; and a communication link for transmitting information between the medical-side system and the patient-side system and for transferring the images produced by the patient shooting devices to the medical-side system.

Abstract: In a medical simulator system, a physical model such as a medical phantom is no longer required so as to execute a simulated medical treatment.
