The photoaging skin care preparations contain at least one triterpenoid derivative which is a substituted form of ursolinic, oleanolic, or betulic acid. The photoaging skin care preparations inhibit photoaging and prevent and ameliorate wrinkled skin. The methods of treating wrinkled skin involve applying an effective amount of the skin care preparation to the wrinkled skin.
