  • Patent number: 7834957
Abstract: A liquid crystal is sealed with a sealing member between first and second transparent substrates, whereby a liquid crystal cell capable of transmitting ultraviolet light is produced. The liquid crystal cell is inserted into a mold into which an ultraviolet-setting resin is dropped and which is used to produce a light control member. The ultraviolet-setting resin is pressed to be bonded to the liquid crystal cell. In this state, ultraviolet light is irradiated to the liquid crystal cell in the mold from outside the mold. Thus, the ultraviolet-setting resin is set while bonding to the liquid crystal cell. Thereafter, the liquid crystal cell is removed from the mold. Consequently, the light control member is directly formed on the liquid crystal cell.

  • Patent number: 6114637
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improvement made on the structure of a switch manipulator for a liquid-crystal display apparatus. In a liquid-crystal display apparatus includes a liquid-crystal display unit accommodating a liquid-crystal panel and switches used to control the operation of the liquid-crystal display unit are stowed in a case, and at least an image display unit and a switch manipulator used to manipulate the switches are located on the face of the case, the switch manipulator includes at least two switches, the switches are separated from each other, a manipulation button is placed over the separated switches, and first and second button pressers are located near both ends of the manipulation button with substantially the center of said manipulation button as a fulcrum. When the manipulation button is pressed, one of the two switches is selectively turned on or off by the first or second button presser.

  • Patent number: 5842761
Abstract: A liquid crystal projector is provided which features easy lamp replacement, accurate detection of liquid crystal cell temperature, and easy assembly and maintenance, the illumination source either being installed on a first illumination source support or installed on the second illumination source support and an illumination source support spring. A unit consisting of the illumination source installed on the first illumination source support is held between the second illumination source support and the illumination source support spring which are mounted on the main frame structure. A polarizer and a liquid crystal cell are held between a support which has a hook and a catch, a temperature detector installation part for installing a temperature detector which detects the temperature of the liquid crystal cell being provided on the support. A holder is used to cause the temperature detector to make contact with the liquid crystal cell of the liquid crystal projector.
