    Abstract: A vehicle wheel includes: a disk and a rim having a well portion and fixed to the disk for supporting a tire for the vehicle; and an additional air chamber member secured to an outer circumferential surface of the well portion in a tire air chamber defined between the rim and the tire. The additional air chamber includes a communication pipe with a communication through hole therein for communication between the additional air chamber and the tire air chamber. The additional air chamber has a peak in a radial direction of the vehicle wheel. A radius D2 of rotation of the vehicle wheel at the tip of the communication through hole is equal to or greater than a radius D1 of rotation of the vehicle at the peak of the additional air chamber.

    Abstract: A sub air chamber provided around outer circumferential surface of a well of a rim of a vehicle wheel includes an upper plate and a lower plate connected at edges thereof which are fitted into channels in first and second vertical wall surfaces formed on the rim. At least one of the upper plate and the bottom plate has orthogonally and diagonally aligned beads to vertical walls, extending in a circumferential direction of the wheel, supporting the sub air chamber, connecting parts locally connecting the upper plate and the bottom plate. The sub air chamber has a protruding part for communicating the sub air chamber with the tire air chamber and serves as a stopper of the sub air chamber.

    Abstract: Some of the repetitively generated impulse response signals are inverted for their polarities, and particular harmonics only are erased/attenuated. The rate of generating the impulse response signals remains constant or changes relative to the pitch, and the tones of the fixed formant type or the tones of the moving formant type are selected. Both ends of the impulse response signals are cut off, whereby the impulse response signals are superposed one upon the other in a decreased amount, and the amount of operation decreases. A plurality of impulse response signals are synthesized to generate impulse response signals different from the impulse response signals of before being synthesized. The rate of generating the impulse response signals changes not in proportion to the pitch, and tones of the moving formant type or generated changing more mildly than a change in the pitch.

    Abstract: Only in a transient band of a filter, substantially all frequency bands of the musical tone waveform are subjected to filter processing. Due to this, the drawback that the amount of change of the frequency characteristic of the musical tone gradually changes as a whole from a fundamental wave toward a harmonics and only one part of the frequency characteristic of the musical tone changes is eliminated.Also, the density of frequency components of the frequency band of the musical tone waveform does not change, the related frequency band is shifted in frequency, subjected to filter processing, and further shifted to a frequency in accordance with the musical tone pitch. Due to this, a specific range of the filter characteristic is selected, and the musical tone is subjected to the filter control only within this range.

    Abstract: An air conditioner having an indoor unit and an outdoor unit which are connected by a refrigerant pipe and electric cables. The indoor unit has a housing, in which a heat exchanger, a fan device and a compressor are arranged. A partition divides the interior of the housing into a fan chamber and a compressor chamber. The fan chamber contains the fan and opens at the front of the housing. The compressor chamber contains the compressor and opens at the back of the housing. Not incorporating the compressor, the outdoor unit is smaller and lighter than otherwise. The indoor unit is secured to the wall of a room, with the back of the housing facing the wall. Hence, the noise the compressor makes while operating does not annoy the persons in the room is much.
