  • Patent number: 6435890
Abstract: A connecting portion for elastically connecting a receiving member to a stationary member is formed in such a manner as to be integral with the receiving portion. The connection portion is attached to the stationary member through the stationary portion. This stationary portion is surrounded by the receiving member across a gap SR. There is no frame serving as a stationary member around the receiving member. Thus, the movable structure becomes thin as a whole.

  • Patent number: 6350143
Abstract: In the guide ribs 2b of the meter unit 2 and the guide rail grooves 3b of the insertion opening 3 of the center cluster panel 1, there are formed play restrict portions 2c, 2d as well asb 3c, 3d respectively for restricting the movements of the guide ribs 2b from the time just before the mutual fitting engagement of the terminals of the two connectors 4A and 4B to the time just after the mutual connection of the two connectors 4A and 4B. Due to this, from the time just before the mutual fitting engagement of the terminals of the two connectors 4A and 4B to the time during the mutual connection of the two connectors 4A and 4B, the inclination of the meter unit 2 can be reduced by setting the positioning accuracy in this range equivalent to the fitting accuracy of the terminals of the two connectors 4A and 4B. This eliminates a fear that an excessive force can be applied to the two connectors 4A and 4B while they are fitted with each other.

  • Patent number: 5682672
Abstract: A cable arrangement indicating and inspecting apparatus for a connector is disclosed. Cables are removed from cable receiving portions (1) in accordance with indicator LEDs (2) caused to blink by a first driving portion (23), and light from illuminative LEDs (28) turned on by a second driving portion (35) is directed through light emitting optical fibers (29) and detecting optical fibers (14) into receiving holes of a connector to directly illuminate the interior of select receiving holes into which terminals are to be inserted. When the terminals are inserted into the select receiving holes, the light reflected from the terminals is directed through the detecting optical fibers (14) and light receiving optical fibers (31) onto light receiving portions (30), and proper terminal insertion is detected on the basis of a light reception signal from the light receiving portions (30).

  • Patent number: 5475787
Abstract: There is disclosed an electronic display unit wherein a motor driving portion including a CPU and a driving IC controls a drive current to a motor (11) so that the motor (11) initially rotates at a low speed and subsequently rotates at a high speed to switch the speed of rotation of a case (3) from a low speed to a high speed, whereby operability is ensured if a rotation control switch is disposed on a front surface of the case (3), preventing conventionally increased size of the unit as well as alleviating user's feeling that rotation requires too much time.
