  • Patent number: 6356712
Abstract: A self-developing type of instant camera is equipped with a processing liquid spreading device comprising a pair of pressure-applying processing rollers which ruptures a processing liquid containing pod and distributes a processing liquid in a film unit, a spread controller operative to press and rubs the film unit from one side of the film unit coming out from a film pack so as to spread the processing liquid distributed in the film unit and a guide member, disposed between the spread controller and the film pack, operative to force the film unit from another side of the film unit so as to direct the film unit toward the bite of pressure-applying processing rollers.

  • Patent number: 6304725
Abstract: An instant camera is used with a photo film pack, which includes plural photo film units of a self-processing type. Each of the photo film units includes a processing solution pod for containing processing solution. There is an exposure surface which is exposed by photographic subject light and on which the processing solution is spread for processing. A case contains a stack of the plural photo film units. A photo film outlet causes the photo film units to exit. The instant camera has a pack chamber loaded with the photo film pack. An exposure aperture is formed to open in one face of the pack chamber, and sets the exposure surface of the photo film units inside the photo film pack. A set of first and second spreader rollers press and convey an exposed one of the photo film units advanced from the pack chamber, and squeeze the solution pod to spread the processing solution on the exposure surface.

  • Patent number: 5541683
Abstract: An instant film pack for use with an instant camera has a case, with a back wall and a front wall in which an exposure aperture is formed. 10 rectangular film units are stacked and contained in the case. The film units after exposure are exited through an outlet slot. Two access openings are formed in the back wall of the case, and receive entry of pads of the camera. A light-shielding sheet is contained between the back wall and the film units, closes the access openings openably, and prevents ambient light from entry through the access openings. The light-shielding sheet, pressed by the pads, presses the film units toward the exposure aperture. Two pressing curved ridges are projected from the back wall in an arcuate shape, and contact at least two lateral edges which are formed beside the light-shielding sheet, and directed toward the outlet slot. The pressing curved ridges prevent the film units from being depressed to a rear of the exposure aperture inside the case.
