  • Publication number: 20160190899
Abstract: An electric compressor includes a hollow cylindrical housing, a compression unit that compresses refrigerant, a motor that functions as a drive source of the compression unit, an inverter that controls the motor, and a refrigerant liquid accumulation unit that accumulates refrigerant liquid in the housing. The refrigerant liquid accumulation unit is disposed at a lower portion in the housing when the electric compressor is installed on the vehicle. According to the electric compressor, the refrigerant liquid is accumulated in the refrigerant liquid accumulation portion at a long-time stop, so that degradation of insulation property in the electric compressor (especially, of the motor and the inverter) can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20090208156
Abstract: A bearing structure includes a housing having a bore that penetrates the housing, a rotation shaft inserted into the bore, an annular first metal bearing and an annular second metal bearing, which are provided apart from each other in an axial direction in the bore and rotatably support the rotation shaft, and a ventilation passage provided in the housing. The ventilation passage is formed on the housing-side contact surfaces which are formed on an inner surface of the housing, and bypasses at least one of the first metal bearing and the second metal bearing. Through ventilation passage, a closed area sandwiched between the both first metal bearing and second metal bearing inside the bore communicates with an outside area.

  • Publication number: 20090191070
Abstract: A motor-operated fan apparatus is made up of a brushless motor and a centrifugal fan. The brushless motor has: a rotary shaft vertically disposed on a substrate in a rotatable manner; a stator disposed coaxially with the rotary shaft; and a rotor integrally disposed on the rotary shaft. The centrifugal fan has: a disk part which covers the brushless motor and is fixed to the rotary shaft; and a multiplicity of vane parts which are disposed so as to be elongated from an outer edge of the disk part. A ventilation control member is provided in a space between the rotor and the disk part to block the air flowing from the substrate side to the space between the rotor and the disk part.

  • Patent number: 6135090
Abstract: A fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine comprises a plurality of fuel injector valves, a pumping system having a suction valve, a discharge valve, and a high-pressure pump section sucking fuel into a pressurized chamber with the suction valve opened on a suction stroke and for discharging the fuel in the pressurized chamber toward the injector valves with the discharge valve opened on a discharge stroke. A relief passage is connected, at one end, to a lowpressure line upstream of the suction valve. The other end of the relief passage is connected to the pressurized chamber. A fuel-pressure control valve is disposed in the relief passage for regulating a fuel pressure of the fuel injected from each of the fuel injector valves by opening the fuel-pressure control valve only for a specified time duration from a controllable middle stage of the discharge stroke to the end of the discharge stroke.

  • Patent number: 5207204
Abstract: An engine has a combustion chamber and a fuel injection valve for directly injecting a fuel into the combustion chamber. An assist air supplying apparatus supplies assist air to atomize the fuel injected by the fuel injection valve. Assist air supply pressure is controlled so that a given pressure difference is secured between the assist air supply pressure and pressure in the combustion chamber. The assist air, therefore, is supplied under proper pressure for an entire period of fuel injection, to adequately micronize the injected fuel and improve combustion efficiency.
