Patent number: 6692388Abstract: A hydraulic controller comprises a structure composed of a separator plate 70 sandwiched between first and second valve bodies 60a and 80a, in which structure, an oil passage 103 connecting a SC shift valve 92 provided upstream and a SC backup valve 94 provided downstream is provided with a choke 75. When the separator plate 70, in which a choke opening 75a is formed, is sandwiched between the first and second valve bodies, the upstream part of the oil passage 103 is in fluid communication with one end of the choke opening 75a while the downstream part of the oil passage 103 is in fluid communication with the other end of the choke opening 75a. In this arrangement, a long narrow room formed by the choke opening 75a sandwiched between the first and second valve bodies comprises the choke 75.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2002Date of Patent: February 17, 2004Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hideo Nirasawa, Katsuyuki Narai, Akihiro Yamaguchi, Junji Urano, Hisashi Kunii

Patent number: 6655232Abstract: A hydraulic controller comprises a first hydraulic control valve 60, which is mounted on an end face S1 of a first housing unit H1, an oil pump 50, which is mounted on the first hydraulic control valve 60, and an input shaft 1 of a transmission, which shaft is provided rotatably in a transmission housing. The oil pump 50 comprises an outer rotor 52 and an inner rotor 53 in a pump casing 51 and 54, which is mounted on the valve body of the first hydraulic control valve 60. The input shaft 1, which is inserted into the pump casing and fit into the inner rotor 53, rotates and drives the inner rotor. The oil pump 50 sucks oil from the bottom of the transmission housing and supplies it through the mounted part into the first hydraulic control valve 60.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2002Date of Patent: December 2, 2003Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Atsushi Fujikawa, Shuji Ichijo, Yukihiko Fukushima, Makoto Sumi, Mitsuro Ohtaki, Katsuyuki Narai, Takashi Hasegawa, Shuichi Fujimoto

Patent number: 6491586Abstract: In a stator shaft in which a shaft member is press-fitted into a press-fit bore of a flange member, first flow passages are formed in the shaft member, and blind bores extending linearly at right angles to a shaft axis from outer circumferential surfaces of the flange member and through the press-fit bore, and communication bores 103 extending linearly from a side surface of the flange member and communicating with free end portions of the blind bores are further formed. Oil passages formed of the parts of the blind bores which extend from the press-fit bore to the free end portions thereof, and communication bores constitute second flow passages, and the shaft member is press-fitted into the press-fit bore with the shaft member positioned so that the portions of the second flow passages which are opened in the press-fit bore, and first flow passages communicate with each other in a mutually opposed state, whereby the first and second flow passages are communicated with each other.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2000Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takashi Nakamura, Mikio Shoji, Katsuyuki Narai

Patent number: 6244385Abstract: A lubrication pressure controller comprises a lubrication pressure regulating valve 41, which is provided in a lubrication oil passage 36 directing hydraulic oil to lubricated parts, and a cooler pressure regulating valve 42, which is provided in a discharge oil passage 51b of the lubrication pressure regulating valve 41. The lubrication pressure regulating valve 41 adjusts the pressure in the lubrication oil passage 36, and the cooler pressure regulating valve 42 adjusts the pressure supplied to an oil cooler 55. The hydraulic oil discharged from the cooler pressure regulating valve 42 is returned through a recirculation line 52 to a suction oil passage 31 of a pump. In this construction, an adequate supply of lubrication oil is maintained even if one of the valves experiences locking of a valve spool on an open side.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshimichi Tsubata, Katsuyuki Narai, Eiji Suzuki, Daihei Teshima, Atsushi Fujikawa, Keiichi Hanyu, Masaaki Yamaguchi, Tomoyuki Kanda, Eiji Ohyama, Akinori Tanno

Patent number: 5893812Abstract: A driving force distributing device is provided for distributing a driving force of an engine to the left and right wheels of a vehicle by bringing a pair of hydraulic clutches into and out of their engaged states. The distributing device includes a hydraulic pump mounted within a casing thereof and driven through gears by a half shaft connected to one of the wheels. An oil passage interconnects the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic clutches, the oil passage being defined in a casing. A valve block is coupled to an upper surface of the casing. Thus, the oil passages interconnecting the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic clutches of the driving force distributing device can be compactly formed.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1997Date of Patent: April 13, 1999Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Katsuyuki Narai, Katsuhiro Kitamura, Kazuyoshi Kuwahara, Kenji Honda, Tetsushi Asano, Yasuji Shibahata, Kazuhiro Wada, Koji Yokomizo
