Abstract: A control cable having an inner cable, a conduit for slidably guiding the inner cable, a tubular liner in the conduit and an interposition. The conduit has an outer spring coated with a synthetic resin. The outer spring is made by spirally winding a steel wire around the liner with remaining a clearance between an inner surface of the outer spring and an outer surface of the liner. The interposition is set in the clearance in order to keep a suitable clearance and to provide a suitable resistance for a relative motion between the liner and the outer spring so that thermal expansion and contraction of the liner is not hindered and the liner cannot easily slip out of the outer spring.
