  • Patent number: 6812359
Abstract: A method for preparing a fatty acid ester with suppressing the discharge of unreacted reactants and/or intermediate products, which comprises reacting fats and oils with a monohydric alcohol in a reactor under conditions where the monohydric alcohol is in a supercritical state, wherein a reaction mixture containing unreacted reactants and/or intermediate products is recycled to the reactor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 31, 2001
Date of Patent: November 2, 2004
    Assignee: Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited
Inventors: Fumisato Goto, Toshio Sasaki, Katsuyuki Takagi

  • Patent number: 4101862
Abstract: A current limiting element for preventing electrical overcurrent manufactured by mixing conductive particles with an elastic insulating material which possesses a positive coefficient of thermal expansion, such that particles are normally in electrical contact with each other, and the elastic material interposed between the particles is caused by heating to expand so that the electric circuit is interrupted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 19, 1976
Date of Patent: July 18, 1978
Assignee: K.K. Tokai Rika Denki Seisakusho

  • Patent number: 3952173
Abstract: A two-stroke switch to be actuated by two stroke operations comprises a first stationary terminal, a second stationary terminal, a contact element of conductive elastomeric material for establishing a current path between the first and second terminals, and an actuating member provided with a moving terminal for imparting a compressing force to the contact element. When the actuating member is first manipulated to compress the contact element axially thereof, the contact element is rendered electrically conductive, and when the actuating member is secondly manipulated to further compress the contact element which is then enlarged radially thereof, the contact element may be electrically connected to the first and/or second terminals thereby turning on the switch.
