  • Publication number: 20220301403
Abstract: Clustering and active learning for teach-by-example, and methods therefor, are disclosed. One method includes clustering, at an at least one electronic processor: a plurality of first detections together as a first cluster based on each detection of the first detections corresponding to respective first image data being identified as potentially showing a first perceptible category of a plurality of perceptible categories; and a plurality of second detections together as a second cluster based on each detection of the second detections corresponding to respective second image data being identified as potentially showing a second perceptible category of the perceptible categories.

  • Patent number: 11157734
Abstract: One embodiment provides an access control system including access control sensors to detect actions performed in a vicinity of an access point, a verification sensor to verify access of the access point, and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the access control sensors and the verification sensor. The electronic processor is configured to in response to an access intent model satisfying an accuracy condition, deploy the access intent model for the access point and receive a dataset indicating an action performed in the vicinity of the access point. The electronic processor is also configured to predict an access intent to access the access point by applying the access intent model to the dataset and enable access through the access point. The electronic processor is further configured to receive verification data indicating whether the access point is accessed, and automatically assign a label to the dataset based on the verification data.

  • Patent number: 10045451
Abstract: A lighting control system may include a main lighting controller having an opening therein and a main coupler for connecting to an expansion pack. An expansion pack of the lighting control system may have a connector having an opening therein and an expansion coupler for connecting to the main lighting controller. Junction boxes may be configured to connect to the main lighting controller and expansion pack based on a predetermined distance associated with openings of the main lighting controller and expansion pack. Installation of a combined main lighting controller and expansion pack at a plurality of junction boxes may be coordinated. A method may include combining a main lighting controller and an expansion pack, connecting two or more junction boxes to one another to form an array, and connecting the two or more junction boxes to the main lighting controller and expansion pack in accordance with a predetermined spacing.

  • Patent number: 8909382
Abstract: An occupancy detection system includes a motion detector, one or more sound detectors and a lighting controller configured to turn on and off one or more lighting devices in a defined area based on detected occupancy states. Lighting control circuitry determines occupancy states based on motion detector output signals and sound detector output signals, and further controls associated lighting devices to be turned ON or OFF in accordance with determined occupancy states and an automatically adaptable timeout period. The timeout period is automatically adjusted in accordance with newly recorded time stamps for lighting status changes, based on a second order occupancy distribution analysis such as a Gaussian probability distribution function, with an occupancy curve adjusted for each newly recorded set of time stamps and the timeout period being adjusted according to the mean and variance of the occupancy curve.

  • Patent number: 8847750
Abstract: An occupancy detection network controls illumination from lighting devices in each of a plurality of defined areas. Motion detection modules and sound detection modules provide output signals based on detected occupancy in each defined area. The sound detection modules automatically adjust sorting criteria over time in accordance with identified sound characteristics associated with occupancy, detect sound in the associated defined area in accordance with the sorting criteria, and provide an output signal based on the detected sound. A central lighting controller is linked to the detection modules via a common bidirectional data bus. The controller receives an output signal, determines an occupancy state for the associated defined area, and controls lighting devices in the area to be turned on and off in accordance with the determined occupancy state.
