  • Publication number: 20240021043
Abstract: Disclosed is a gaming machine including a cabinet with an emotive lighting system coupled to the cabinet and logic circuitry. The emotive lighting system includes a plurality of light transmitting fibers, each end of which is positioned adjacent to a light-emitting device aligned to emit light into its respective fiber end. The light-emitting devices are arranged in an array and the logic circuitry causes each light-emitting device of the array to selectively emit light such that its associated fiber is illuminated. A method of assembling such an emotive lighting system and attaching it to the gaming machine is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8795070
Abstract: Provided in embodiments of the present invention is an access mechanism that provides access to a plurality of internal portions of a gaming device through a plurality of securing mechanisms. In one embodiment, a gaming device includes first and second internal cabinet portions, a first interface device, a second interface device, and an actuator unit. The first and second interface devices secure access to the first and second internal cabinet portions, respectively. The actuator unit is structured to allow access to the first secured cabinet portion in response to a first valid key being applied to the first interface device and to allow access to the second secured cabinet portion in response to a second valid key being applied to the second interface device.

The top panel assembly is further configured to cooperate with the support frame for movement between a closed position and an open position, enabling access to the support frame. A handle assembly is provided for each support wall, each of which includes a handle member and a mounting portion that is movably mounted to a corresponding support wall of the support frame between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the handle member is positioned in a manner that enables the top panel to be oriented in the closed position. In the second position, the handle member is exposed in a manner that permits gripping thereof to vertically support and lift the gaming machine assembly.
