  • Patent number: 5771352
Abstract: Communication control apparatus capable of communicating among plural users when the plural users bring respective equipment into proximity of each other includes a transmission section to transmit terminal discriminating information to discriminate a particular terminal. A receiving section receives terminal discriminating information transmitted by another terminal or terminals. A discrimination section discriminates other terminal(s) capable of communicating with the particular terminal in accordance with the terminal discriminating information received by the receiving section. A group-set section sets one terminal or plural terminals among terminals discriminated by the discrimination means as members of the same group. An information sending section sends the same information to the terminals set by the group-set means.

  • Patent number: 5602564
Abstract: This invention relates to a graphic data processing system, and is more particularly directed to provide an easy-to-operate system and displaying method thereof, for generating scene data from map data and retrieving and displaying attributes containing guide information of ground objects in a scene. In the first place, when a visual point is directed from above to below, a planar map is displayed, and as the visual point shifts in a horizontal direction, a three-dimensional scene image is generated and displayed from a map. Secondly, a three-dimensional window is displayed in a display, and graphic data is displayed inside the window.

  • Patent number: 5285442
Abstract: A traffic supervisory method for supervising a group of packets generated in a terminal according to an assigned traffic characteristic in which the maximum number of packets generated within a regular period time T is set at N comprises respectively counting the number of packets which are generated within regular time periods .alpha.i.multidot.T ({.alpha.i.vertline.1.ltoreq.i.ltoreq.M, 1.ltoreq..alpha.1<.alpha.2<. . . <.alpha..sub.M }) in a packet flow and judging the packets to violate the assigned traffic characteristic in the case where more packets are generated than .alpha.i.multidot.(1+.beta.i).multidot.N({.beta.i.vertline.1.ltoreq.i.ltor eq.M, .beta.1.gtoreq..beta.2> . . . >.beta..sub.M =0}) within at least one regular interval of time .alpha.i.multidot.T.

  • Patent number: 5274641
Abstract: A ATM communication system can satisfy various requests from a node system, a link system, and the like, by performing a self-format transform between a format to be transmitted and a format receiving an ATM switch, and using a cell processing function for performing polishing/shaping, counting of passed cells, counting of discarded cells, drop/insertion of OAM cell, and the like.

  • Patent number: 5262760
Abstract: A graphics display image is displayed on a display, the graphics display image being formed by a plurality of graphics display image components, at least some of which have to be edited. The graphics display image components may be generated from data obtained e.g. from optical reading of a hard-copy of a map, circuit diagram, or design drawing by a suitable optical reader. The graphics display image components which are to be edited are displayed with a different visual appearance from any components which do not have to be edited, e.g. by highlighting the components to be edited. As the editing of each components is completed, its visual appearance is changed, e.g. the highlighting cancelled, so the operator has an immediate visual indication of the components which have not yet been edited. In this way, complete editing can be ensured.

  • Patent number: 5172102
Abstract: In the case where a map is used as a figure upon vertical scrolling for enlarging or reducing a map having a predetermined accuracy, a map having a higher accuracy as well as a map having a less amount of graphic data are subjected to vertical scrolling so that the map having a lower accuracy or the less amount of data is displayed superposing on the map having the higher accuracy. Upon vertical scrolling, the speed of vertical scrolling is improved in such a manner that the brightness of one of the maps which is gradually reduced is decreased to an extent in which a positional relation of the one map with the other map which is gradually enlarged is not unrecognizable to an operator and the one map displayed with a predetermined size is erased from a display device when the brightness of the one map is decreased to zero. Even in the case where the above-mentioned vertical scrolling and horizontal scrolling are used in combination, the scrolling is made with an improved speed.

  • Patent number: 5153877
Abstract: A packet network in which the qualities of service can be maintained for different communications of different classes of requirement for quality of service, regardless of types of calls and data. In this packet network, a communication resource is subdivided into sub-resources which are to be allocated to communications classified into communication classes, where an amount of communications within each sub-resource is controlled independently to satisfy a required quality of service. Also, first type of calls for which a ratio of a maxium transfer speed of each call with respect to a transfer speed of multiplexed line of the packet network is greater than a predetermined threshold value, and second type of calls which are not the first type of calls are distinguished, and a priority control to favor the first type of calls over the second type of calls is performed.

  • Patent number: 5099520
Abstract: A figure retrieval method for storing memory addresses for figure data in an address data table which corresponds to positional coordinates of a multi-dimensional array. When retrieving end points, or node points, other points on a line and points on a surface, these points constituting the figure data, memory addresses for figure data for an object to be retrieved are stored in the address data table and then retrieved. Flags indicative of the kind of the constituent points are also stored in the address data table in combination with the memory addresses and are used for figure retrieval.

  • Patent number: 4991117
Abstract: A figure data display method and system in which the contents to be stored and constituting data are stored in the form of figure data divided into a plurality of partial areas, a file information table is prepared which registers therein figure area information, along with volume information of the figure data, in the sequence of serial numbers allocated to the partial areas dependent on their positions, and those partial areas, which are necessary for display of the figure data, are searched within a range of the registered serial numbers. By preparing the figure data represented in the compressed form by taking relative values between the coordinate values of respective features points in the figure data, or by retrieving file names in a manner involving direct searching the figure data from a storage medium, operation from the step of reading the figure data to the step of displaying the same can be speeded up.
