  • Patent number: 7131875
Abstract: The invention provides a contact and an electrical connector which are used to electrically connect a conductor pattern formed on a circuit board and a component to be connected that is positioned to face the circuit board, and in which the amount of displacement of the contact protruding part is large, while having a low height. The contact has a soldering part which is soldered to a conductor pattern formed on a circuit board, a spring arm which extends from the soldering part and which has a contact protruding part for contacting a component to be connected that is positioned to face the circuit board, and preload application parts which extend from the soldering part and contact the spring arm so that a preload is applied to the spring arm. The preload application parts are provided toward the fixed end of the spring arm relative to the contact protruding part.

  • Patent number: 6551143
Abstract: The invention relates to a battery connector equipped with an insulating housing. Contacts are attached to the housing and are soldered to a circuit board. Each of the contacts has a flat-plate-form base part and a pair of side wall parts that rise from both sides of the base part. A pair of contact arms extend, facing each other, from the side wall parts of the pair of side wall parts, and contact mating contacts. The bottom surface of the base part forms a soldering surface that is soldered to the circuit board. The invention increases the soldering strength of the contacts with respect to the circuit board so that separate reinforcing members are not required. The area occupied by the battery connector on the board is also reduced, and the balance of the soldering positions on the bottom surface of the connector is improved.

  • Publication number: 20010002346
Abstract: The battery connector of the present invention is equipped with a housing 100 that holds the battery, a first contact 200 which is fastened so that it is positioned on the board side of the housing, and which elastically contacts the battery held by the housing, and a second contact 300 which is fastened to the housing, and which elastically contacts a different surface of the battery held by the housing from the surface that is contacted by the first contact. The battery accommodating opening P is an opening with a freely expandable diameter formed by the housing 100, the first contact 200 and the second contact 300, which accommodates the battery in a position that extends along the board, and which is smaller in size than the battery.

  • Patent number: 5174761
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a first housing (11) having electrical contacts (18) secured therein and a second housing (12) pivotally mounted within the first housing (11) with electrical contacts (27) secured in the second housing (12) in electrical engagement with respective contacts (18) so that the housings (11, 12) can be angularly positioned with respect to one another when circuit boards to which they are electrically connected are positioned at an angle relative to each other.
