  • Patent number: 7808686
Abstract: It is intended to provide a picture editor which displays the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information, according to pictorial information code of the analyzed color pictorial data of a plurality of color pictures added to the color pictorial data, picks out and displays the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information. For this purpose, the information code of each pictorial information on brightness, saturation, and hue of the color pictorial data, which is analyzed, digitized, and averaged in a pictorial data analyzing unit, is added to the color pictorial data in a retrieval information adding unit. According to the color pictorial data to which the information code is added, a retrieving unit picks out the color pictorial data matching designated pictorial information. A video monitor displays the retrieved color pictorial data.

  • Publication number: 20060187492
Abstract: A print control device (employed for printing a character string including characters and/or symbols on a plurality of labels arranged on a long tape-like print medium along the length of the print medium) comprises: character string storage means for storing a character string to be printed; separating point detecting means for detecting one or more separating points in the character string stored in the character string storage means based on a separation condition as a particular character string arrangement condition; and character string separating means for letting character strings, obtained by separating the character string stored in the character string storage means at the separating points detected by the separating point detecting means, be separately printed on different labels on the print medium.

  • Publication number: 20050066208
Abstract: An electronic apparatus suppresses consumption of power by saving power for the electronic apparatus main body and a communicating module. In a printing apparatus, power saving mode setting processing is carried out if the printing apparatus is not used in a specified time interval. More specifically, a printing portion is changed into a sleep mode and the communicating module is changed to power saving mode depending on an amount of power remaining in a battery and power ON passage time. Further, auto power OFF setting time is changed depending on the amount of power remaining in the battery. For example, the mode of the communicating module is changed among a plural modes classified depending on consumption of power supplied from the battery and used by the communicating module.

  • Patent number: 5503482
Abstract: A tape printing apparatus for making printed labels includes a keyboard for entering a character string, a display screen for displaying the character string, a tape cassette printer mechanism for printing the character string on the tape, a tape width detector for detecting the tape width of the tape cassette mounted on the printer mechanism, a first display data generator which generates pattern image data used to define the effective display zone of display screen that is proportional to the detected tape width, and a second display data generator which generates image data of the entered character string based on stored font data so that a print image of the character string in correct proportion to the tape width is displayed in the display zone.

  • Patent number: 5496117
Abstract: A tape print device for printing bar codes on a print tape includes: an input unit for inputting data indicative of a bar code desired to be printed on a tape; a data storage unit for temporarily storing the inputted data; an increment unit for serially incrementing at least a part of the data stored in the data storage means at least one time, in accordance with a predetermined order, to thereby produce at least one incremented data indicative of at least one incremented bar code, the thus produced at least one incremented data being stored in the data storage means; a print data generating unit for producing print data for the desired bar code and the at least one incremented bar code, based on the data stored in the data storage means; and a printing unit for receiving the print data and for printing images of the desired bar code and the at least one incremented bar code on a print tape.

  • Patent number: 5496119
Abstract: After initialization (S1), the cassette signal is retrieved (S2). Then the tape width of the tape in the tape cassette mounted in the tape printer is determined by tape TB1 (S4). The width of the image display zone is calculated using the tape width and using the table TB5 (S7). The data of standard format information is stored in the start address of the text memory (S8). A text input screen is displayed set with the image display zone corresponding to the tape width calculated in S2 for the display. A cursor is also displayed having the size of the display character size, which was determined based on the print character size, which has been calculated using the tape width, the number of lines "1," and the table TB3. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a grasp of the relation between tape width and the situation at which characters will be printed.

  • Patent number: 5222449
Abstract: A sewing machine comprises a feeding device which moves between the under position of the cutter apparatus and the under position of the needle bar with a work piece which is set on the feeding device such that the buttonhole slit is formed on a desired position, a setting signal transmitter for transmitting a complete signal when the work piece is set on the feeding device, and a post-buttonhole slit method indicator for indicating the post-buttonhole slit method in order to form the buttonhole slit by the cutter apparatus after buttonhole stitches are formed by the cooperation of the needle and the looper. When the post-buttonhole slit method is indicated by the post-buttonhole slit method indicator, the feeding device moves under the needle bar and the feeding device is controlled so as to stay under the needle bar until the setting signal transmitter inputs the complete signal.

  • Patent number: 5125349
Abstract: In a sewing machine for creating buttonholes, a selection switch is used to designate whether the hole will be cut first or the buttonhole will be defined by stitching first. In both cases, stitch width remains constant. Where the buttonhole is outlined by stitches first, a needle bar bight line is offset by a distance .DELTA.X from the bight line followed when the buttonhole is cut first. The result of the .DELTA.X offset is a spacing equal to 2.DELTA.X between the inner edges of the stitched buttonhole providing space in which to cut the buttonhole.
