    Abstract: A mask forming method forms a concave/convex pattern in a mask when the mask is formed over a substrate. A coating film forming process forms a coating film by applying a radiation-curing coating composition onto the substrate. A radiation irradiating process then irradiates the coating film with radiation. Finally, a pattern transferring process presses a surface of a stamper on which a concave/convex pattern has been formed onto the coating film to transfer the concave/convex pattern to the coating film.
