  • Patent number: 8606081
Abstract: A stream data recording device is provided for recording stream data on a recording medium. The stream data recording device includes a stream reception/analysis unit (101), acquiring stream data from reception data, a a missing portion detection unit (102) detecting a missing packet portion in the acquired stream data, a section information generation unit (103) generating time information specifying the duration of the unreceivable section including the packets whose missing portion has been detected and position information specifying the position of the unreceivable section in the stream data, and a recording unit (105) recording the acquired stream data, the generated time information and position information on the recording medium. Thus, even if the recording-target stream data is missing a portion during reception of the stream data, the data can be correctly played back from the seek time specified by a user.

  • Patent number: 8428439
Abstract: A broadcast program recording/reproducing device is provided that is capable of continuously reproducing a program recorded so as to be distributed between a plurality of devices. A reception level detection unit (105) detects the reception level of the received broadcast electric wave. When the reception level is equal to or lower than a predetermined reception level, a recording request transmission unit (106) generates a recording start request packet, and transmits it to a server (20). A management information write unit (107) writes management information into a terminal storage unit (104). A continuous reproduction control unit (108) determines whether the program is recorded so as to be distributed between storing means and an external device based on the management information.

  • Patent number: 8213778
Abstract: Provided is a recording apparatus generating meta-information including an initial address of TS packets constituting a PES packet that includes an independently-decodable picture, and including size information pertaining to the picture, and recording the generated meta-information in a recording medium. The recording apparatus includes a detection unit detecting, from the TS packets constituting a transport stream, a TS packet at a head of a PES packet, and includes a judging unit judging whether the PES packet includes an independently-decodable picture. Further, the recording apparatus includes generation unit generating meta-information including, as the size information, a size from a head of a PES packet that is judged as including an independently-decodable picture to a head of a succeeding PES packet.

  • Publication number: 20060104255
Abstract: A broadcast data transmission/reception system (100) includes: a transmitter (700) for transmitting broadcast data including time information indicating a reproduction start time; and a receiver (800) for receiving the broadcast data. The transmitter (700) transmits, at least a predetermined amount of time prior to transmitting the broadcast data, substitutive broadcast data including a same content as the broadcast data and time information indicating the reproduction start time, and a substitutive identifier one or more times. The receiver (800) tries to obtain the substitutive broadcast data based on the substitutive identifier specified by an identifier specifier. The receiver (800) reproduces, at the reproduction start time, one of the broadcast data and the substitutive broadcast data if successfully obtained.

  • Patent number: 6510544
Abstract: The wiring design software 3 reads in design information, analyzes it to generate a wiring problem and correlates bonding pads and pins of a semiconductor package to each other (S102, S104). The wiring design software 3 then searches a wiring route while permitting crossing by using the Dijkstra method and the like, calculates an evaluation value by weighting the length of a candidate route with a coefficient W when the candidate route crosses a monitoring side E, and selects a candidate route having a minimum evaluation value as a partial route (S110).

  • Patent number: 6430620
Abstract: The present invention relates to a data transfer method and a system in a computer network to which are connected a number of computers, more specifically to a data transfer method of stream data continuous in time series and a system for it. The present invention makes a request for change of rate from the client 470 in correspondence to the state of vacancy of said receiving buffer 412, and changes the send rate on the server 400 based on that request for change of rate. This prevents any overflow of stream data from the receiving buffer 412. Furthermore, based on the re-transfer request issued from the client 470 in correspondence to the loss of stream data received by said packet receiving means 410, the storing means on the server 400 sends out data corresponding to the lost data concerned. This makes it possible to compensate for the loss in case of occurrence of any data loss.
