  • Publication number: 20050128112
Abstract: A D/A converter inputted with non-linear conversion digital data such as a digital signal encoded according to a ?-Law system or the like as it is to convert into an analog signal. A D/A converter is of resistor string type, in which a resistance value of each of resistors of a resistor string is not set uniform but weighted so that a non-linear relationship between an encoded input digital signal and an output analog signal is converted into a linear relationship. Consequently, a decode circuit for converting non-linear conversion digital data into linear conversion digital data is not required.

  • Publication number: 20050105747
Abstract: A card-type sound apparatus has, on a card-shaped substrate, a combination of a sound signal input portion to which a sound signal is input from outside and a sound generation portion that generates sound according to the sound signal input to the sound signal input portion, or a combination of a sound collection portion that collects sound from outside and converts the sound into an electric signal and a sound signal output portion that outputs to outside the electric signal obtained from the sound collection portion, or both of these combinations. The sound generation portion generates sound by making the card-shaped substrate itself vibrate according to the sound signal input to the sound signal input portion. The sound collection portion collects sound by converting the vibration of the card-shaped substrate itself into an electric signal.

  • Publication number: 20050030270
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device provided with an audio signal processing function, which includes an audio signal processing circuit with a large S/N ratio and a small glitch is provided. The display device of the invention includes a resistor string D/A converter circuit whose dynamic range can be increased by using a common power supply for a D/A converter circuit and a signal line driver circuit. Accordingly, a glitch generated in the D/A converter circuit can be reduced relatively to an audio signal and an S/N ratio of the D/A converted signal can thus be increased.

  • Publication number: 20050007330
Abstract: The invention provides a liquid crystal display device for displaying an image, having a signal processing function and a narrow flame. In the display device of the invention, a signal processing circuit is formed by thin film elements and at least a portion of the signal processing circuit is formed in the region that extended the region where a wiring connection portion is formed along a side of a substrate. By providing the signal processing circuit outside the sealed region of liquid crystal and the like and utilizing regions beside an FPC connected portion which tended to be a dead space conventionally, a display device having a narrow frame can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20040201509
Abstract: D/A conversion having higher accuracy is provided by improving relative accuracy of the resistance value of resistors which configure a resistor string. A manufacturing method of a D/A converter circuit of the invention comprises the steps of: forming a resistor string 11 which includes a plurality of resistors R0 to R7 connected in series with each other between reference voltages, and a plurality of switching elements S0 to S3 connected with each connection node of the resistors R0 to R7, wherein: each of the resistors R0 to R7 is a thin film element crystallized by linear laser irradiation; disposing all forming parts of the resistors configuring the resistor string 11 within a laser irradiation area 19; and crystallizing all the forming parts of the resistors which are disposed within the laser irradiation area with the same laser shot.

  • Publication number: 20040201056
Abstract: An audio signal processing circuit for processing an audio signal which is compact and small is provided. For the audio signal processing circuit of the invention, an input circuit, a feedback circuit, and a smoothing circuit are formed using a chip capacitor with small mounting space and a thin film resistor on an insulating substrate. Accordingly, the audio signal processing circuit that is small and further a display device incorporating the audio signal processing circuit are provided.

  • Publication number: 20040131211
Abstract: A small-sized, light-weight display device having an audio output circuit is provided. A display device of the present invention has a flat speaker and an audio signal processing device is constructed from thin film semiconductor elements, typically, thin film transistors, on the display device. The speaker is driven by BTL driving, thereby reducing the power supply voltage and preventing degradation of the thin film transistors. A display device with a built-in audio signal processing circuit is thus reduced in size and weight.

  • Publication number: 20020092850
Abstract: In a folding container assembled in a box form by raising folded long side walls 51 so as to stand perpendicular to a bottom portion 10 and then raising folded short side walls 27 so as to stand perpendicular to the bottom portion, each of the short side walls is composed of an upper short side wall portion 27a and a lower short side wall portion 27b, and horizontal pins h3 formed on the upper short side wall portion are inserted into corresponding slits 35 in hinge female blocks H3formed on the lower short side wall portion to hinge the upper short side wall portion and the lower short side wall portion together. The short side walls are each composed of the upper short side wall portion and lower short side wall portion connected together with hinge members to reduce the height of the folded folding container. Accordingly, the folded folding container can be more efficiently housed to save housing spaces.
