  • Publication number: 20060154114
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium includes a nonmagnetic support having a thickness less than 7 ?m and a width of 8 mm; a ferromagnetic metal layer disposed on a surface of the nonmagnetic support; and a reinforcing layer disposed on the other surface of the nonmagnetic support. The magnetic recording medium has a flexural rigidity EI of 5.9×10?8 to 1.3×10?7 N·m (6.0×10?4 to 1.3×10?3 g·cm). The flexural rigidity EI is determined by the following equation: EI=(?/4?2/?)·W·a3/d·b×9.8×10?5 (wherein W is a load that causes an annular test piece having a radius of a cm and a width of b cm which is prepared by cutting a magnetic sheet formed of the magnetic recording medium to undergo a radial displacement d of 0.2?a).

  • Publication number: 20060123203
Abstract: A shared memory access function providing unit of each of a plurality of host computers of a network device receives an access shared memory request from an application and issues the access shared memory request to an FC switch. An access shared memory request identifying unit of the FC switch determines whether the request from the host computer is an access shared memory request, and if the request is an access shared memory request, a shared memory control unit controls the access to a shared data memory unit based on the access shared memory request.

  • Publication number: 20050000115
Abstract: A hard elastic body (10) having a longitudinally extending cavity (13) formed therein is provided mainly at a forefoot region (F) of a sole body. The cavity (13) is formed of a first curved surface (11) extending curvedly in a longitudinal direction and a second curved surface (12) disposed under the first curved surface (11) and extending curvedly in a longitudinal direction as well. A front and rear end of the second curved surface (12) is connected to a front and rear end of the first curved surface (11) respectively and an intermediate portion of the second curved surface (12) is spaced apart downwardly from an intermediate portion of the first curved surface (11). A path (PQ1) between the front and rear end of the first curved surface (11) is substantially equal to a path (PQ2) between the front and rear end of the second curved surface (12). When the first curved surface (11) is pressed downwardly, the sole body is deformed in such a way that a rear foot region (R) of the sole body is lifted upwardly.

  • Patent number: 6745500
Abstract: The present invention provides a belt fastening means that can improve fittability of a shoe and that can equally tighten an upper of the shoe to a wearer's foot without hindering the movement of the foot. A belt fastening means for a shoe includes a first belt member disposed mainly on a lateral side portion of an upper and a second belt member disposed mainly on a medial side portion of the upper. The first and second belt members are located at nearly symmetrical positions with respect to an opening portion. A proximal end portion of the first belt member is connected to a sole on the lateral side and a distal end portion thereof extends over the opening portion. The first belt member extends in a direction nearly perpendicular to a ridge line of an instep portion as viewed from a lateral side of the shoe. A proximal end portion of the second belt member is connected to the sole on the medial side and a distal end portion thereof extends over the opening portion.
