    Abstract: A touch panel includes a substrate, a first adhesive layer stacked on the substrate, a first conductive layer stacked on the first adhesive layer and having a first electrode pattern, a second adhesive layer stacked on the first adhesive layer and the first conductive layer, and a second conductive layer stacked on the second adhesive layer and having a second electrode pattern. The first electrode pattern includes first island-like electrode portions and first connecting portions electrically interconnecting the first island-like electrode portions. The second electrode pattern includes a plurality of second island-like electrode portions formed in a spaced apart relationship in a second direction intersecting a first direction so as not to be overlapped with the first electrode pattern, and second connecting portions electrically interconnecting the second island-like electrode portions over via the first connecting portions.

Also, a water-vapor barrier film (11), which is superior in moisture dimensional stability, is bonded with an adhesive material (11g) to the entire surface of the plastic supporting plate on the side opposite to the surface that is bonded to the lower electrode film.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a capacitive curved touch panel is provided for solving the problems of the conventional methods, i.e., unsuitableness of the methods for mass production and fabricating large touch panels and touch panels of complicated curved surface shapes. The method includes the steps of (a) preparing a patterned plate 13 by forming an electrode layer having a plurality of electrode regions 15 on a thermoplastic resin plate 11 with an electrically-conductive ink comprised of an electrically-conductive substance and a binder, (b) preparing a soft curved product 21 by heating to soften the patterned plate 13 and shaping the softened patterned plate on a die 22, and (c) cooling or allowing to cool the soft curved product to make the touch panel.

The optical phase difference films are capable of providing a ¼ wavelength phase delay to light, incident thereon, having a center wavelength within a visible region. The movable electrode portion is disposed on a lower surface of the upper optical phase difference film.
