  • Patent number: 5393262
Abstract: An air-conditioning blow-out port device includes a housing of synthetic resin; a plurality of blades of synthetic resin each having a blade body disposed within the housing pairs of shaft bores provided in a coaxial arrangement in each pair in opposed portions of a peripheral wall of the housing; a pair of support shafts projectingly provided on opposite ends of the blade body and rotatably fitted in the shaft bores. A pivotal mounting portion is provided on each of the blades, and an interlocking link interlockingly connects the pivotal mounting portions of the blades. The pivotal mounting portion is comprised of a pivotal supporting shaft which is projectingly provided in parallel to the support shaft at an end of each blade body to extend through a pivotal supporting bore in the interlocking link, and a slip-off preventing projection provided at a tip end of the pivotal supporting shaft to engage an edge of the pivotal supporting bore.

  • Patent number: 5352399
Abstract: In two-stage injection molding of a blow-out port device including a housing of synthetic resin, which includes pairs of shaft bores provided in a coaxial arrangement in opposed wall portions of a peripheral wall to extend through the opposed wall portions, and a plurality of blades of synthetic resin which each include a pair of support shafts projectingly provided at opposite ends of a blade body disposed within the housing and rotatably fitted in the shaft bores, the following steps are used: a primary injection step for forming the housing; a secondary injection step for forming blade bodies by using shaft bores in the housing as support shaft-forming cavities; a step of permitting the blow-out port device to be left on one of opening/closing dies by utilizing protrusion fitted in recesses formed in the housing; and a step of bringing ejector pins into abutment against rear edges of the blades to push-off the blow-out port device from the opening/closing die.

  • Patent number: 5350555
Abstract: In producing a blow-out port device in a two-stage inject:on molding process by use of synthetic resin, the blow-out port device having a housing including pairs of shaft bores and pairs of circular section bosses both provided in and on opposed wall portion of a peripheral wall of the housing, and a plurality of blades each including a pair of protruding portions provided at opposite ends of each of blade bodies disposed within the housing to abut against a pair of boss and to have the same outside diameter as the boss, and a pair of support shafts projectingly provided on end faces of the protruding portions and turnably fitted in the shaft bores, the housing is forced at a primary injection step, and then, the blades are formed at a secondary injection step by use of the shaft bores in the housing as support shaft-forming cavities. Thus, it is possible to provide an air-conditioning blow-out port device having an improved appearance around a mounting portion of each blade.

  • Patent number: 5173379
Abstract: A battery including a sealing member 10 for sealing an opening 7 of a battery housing 1, a current collecting pin 5 press-fitted in a through hole 11 formed through the sealing member 10, and a reinforcing member 20 for reinforcing the sealing member 10. The reinforcing member 20 is constituted of a thick-walled portion 21 for covering an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical portion 12 of the sealing member 10 forming the through hole 11 and a disk portion 22 extending radially outwardly from the thick-walled portion 21. A space 8 is defined between the sealing member 10 and the reinforcing member 20, and a thin-walled portion 13 for preventing an increase in internal pressure in the battery housing 1 is formed in the sealing member 10 at a position opposed to the space 8. The sealing member 10 is reinforced by the thick-walled portion 21 to thereby prevent generation of cracks in the sealing member 10 and electrolyte leakage accompanied thereby.
