  • Patent number: 4060323
Abstract: This specification discloses a method and apparatus for imaging light on a medium to form a plurality of information elements which in turn form a particular character or other image information. A plurality of light beams are formed and are modulated by information signals and then the light beams are deflected by scanning means to scan a medium, the beams being modulated in such a manner that the same modulation is applied to a predetermined number of the light beams in accordance with a desired size of the information elements formed on the medium, and wherein the size of the information elements, defined by adjacent rows of identical light spots, is changed by varying the number of light beams receiving the same modulation.

  • Patent number: 4059833
Abstract: A recording position defining apparatus includes a beam generator for generating a modulated beam in accordance with a signal to be recorded; a beam deflector; a beam detector fixed at a predetermined position; a clock signal generator for generating clock signals of a predetermined frequency; and a record signal applicator for applying a record signal to the beam generator upon detection of a predetermined number of clock signals after the beam is detected by the beam detector.

  • Patent number: 4053898
Abstract: A laser recording method including: deflecting a plurality of laser beams, respectively and dividing the respective beams into multiple beams which are at substantially regular intervals; linearly arranging respective beams of the multiple beams in a line at substantially regular intervals and in a direction perpendicular to a direction of scanning action of the beams on the recording medium; modulating each beam and focusing the beam on the recording medium; and scanning the recording medium with the divided beams.

  • Patent number: 4040737
Abstract: A method of eliminating a ghost image in an image forming process wherein a recording medium is scanned with a light beam reflected by a polygonal rotary mirror, and wherein the light beam for scanning is directed toward the rotary mirror along a path so that the angle between the path and the rotary axis of the rotary mirror is not equal to 90.degree. so as to displace the ghost image formed on the recording medium to a position out of the scanning line on the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4033687
Abstract: A cathode ray tube pickup device comprises a photosensitive medium having a dielectric layer, a photoconductive layer and conductive layer, a charger for uniformly charging the surface of the photosensitive medium, a discharger for uniformly discharging the charged surface of the photosensitive medium, an optical fiber tube closely spaced from the surface of the photosensitive medium to effect negative image application thereon, and developing means for developing the surface of the photosensitive medium with a toner opposite in polarity to the charge in said surface.
