  • Patent number: 8734578
Abstract: An indoor dust collecting system includes an air conditioner having an indoor unit that generates an air current, a dust collector, and a controller for controlling the air current from the indoor unit. A moving body detector is provided to detect a moving body such as, for example, a person, a pet, a cleaning robot, and the like. The air current from the indoor unit is controlled by the controller based on the position of the indoor unit, the position of a spot of occurrence of dust detected by the moving body detector, and the position of the dust collector such that the air current from the indoor unit reaches the dust collector via the spot of occurrence of dust in order for the dust collector to effectively suck the dust.

  • Publication number: 20140065971
Abstract: A state updating unit updates first information stored in a storage unit whenever the state of a control unit transitions from an idle state to an active state or from the active state to the idle state. A second power supply unit induces electric power from radio waves received by the antenna unit. An information acquiring unit operates after receiving the supply of electric power from the second power supply unit, acquires second information indicating whether electric power is supplied from the first power supply unit, acquires the first information from the storage unit, and transmits the acquired first and second information to the control device. A diagnosing unit diagnoses faults in the terminal device based on the first and second information transmitted from the information acquiring unit of the terminal device.

  • Publication number: 20130063253
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) device includes: a contact interface for wired communication with a host; a contactless interface for contactless communication with a reader/writer; a command processing unit that obtains a command from the reader/writer in the contactless communication and process the command, the command instructing a data access; and a memory that holds data. The command processing unit determines a communication mode, and (i) executes the data access instructed in the command between the reader/writer and the memory, when the communication mode is determined as a first communication mode, and (ii) executes the data access instructed in the command between the reader/writer and the host, when the communication mode is determined as a second communication mode.

  • Patent number: 8014882
Abstract: A particular program detection device detecting a particular program segment even in a program signal contaminated with noise by adaptively modifying a detection sensitivity for a scene change point. A noise level detecting section detects a noise level of a program signal outputted from a signal input section. Based on the detected noise level, a detection sensitivity determining section determines a detection sensitivity which is used when a silent portion of the program signal is determined by a silent portion detecting section. In accordance with the determined detection sensitivity, the silent portion detecting section detects a portion having a low audio level of the program signal as a silent portion. A particular program determining section calculates a time difference between each silent portion and a silent portion following this, and based on the calculated time difference, determines whether or not the silent portion is a particular program.

  • Publication number: 20090226144
Abstract: A feature amount calculating section (12) calculates a feature amount based on received AV signals. A silent segment detecting section (13) detects a segment having an audio power level smaller than or equal to a predetermined value as a silent segment. A candidate segment detecting section (14) detects a segment having the audio power level greater than or equal to the predetermined value as a digest scene candidate segment. A CM segment determining section (15) determines a CM segment based on a time difference between the silent segment and another silent segment. A digest list creating section (16) deletes a determined segment corresponding to the CM segment from digest candidate segments, thereby generating digest scene information based on a program segment excluding the CM segment.

  • Publication number: 20080243388
Abstract: An autonomous driving apparatus includes: an obstacle detecting unit for detecting a presence of an obstacle or judging a distance to the obstacle; a driving unit for driving a main body; and a control unit for changing a moving direction of the main body by controlling the driving unit based on obstacle information from the obstacle detecting unit, wherein the control unit has a reciprocating mode in which the main body is reciprocatively moved within a moving area while being also moved in a direction normal to a reciprocating direction. If the control unit judges that the main body is in a movement-stuck state in which movement of the main body is stuck within a movement-stuck area by an obstacle placed in the moving area, the control unit switches the reciprocating mode to an obstacle avoiding mode in which the main body escapes from the movement-stuck area.

  • Publication number: 20070179786
Abstract: There is provided an AV content processing device operable to reduce unpleasantness caused to a user when a detection error occurs in detecting a CM section. A CM detection unit (101) detects a CM section based on a power level of a sound signal in a stored AV content or the like, and acquires information indicating boundaries between the CM section and program sections. The user inputs, via a purpose reception unit (102), a view purpose to view the AV content. Boundary A boundary correction unit (103) shifts, in accordance with the view purpose inputted by the user, positions of the boundaries (a start point and an end point) between the CM section detected by the CM detection unit (101) and the program sections such that the detected CM section becomes long or short.
