  • Patent number: 6868258
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a connection structure for connecting the dielectric strip of an NRD guide with a metal waveguide, in which the conversion loss (connection loss) for high-frequency signals is reduced, and in which the NRD guide as well as the millimeter wave integrated circuit in which the NRD guide is incorporated can be made smaller. A non-radiative dielectric waveguide is made by arranging a dielectric strip for propagating high-frequency signals between parallel planar conductors arranged at a spacing of not more than half the wavelength of a high-frequency signal, a conductive member being arranged at an end face of a terminal end of the dielectric strip. An aperture is formed in at least one of the parallel planar conductors at a location where the electrical field of an LSM mode stationary wave propagating along the dielectric strip becomes largest. An open terminal end of a metal waveguide is connected to this aperture.

  • Patent number: 6862888
Abstract: This pilot nozzle has a fuel oil supply pipe disposed at the center of a heat-shielding air layer that is provided along an axial core, and a plurality of atomized-fluid supply paths are disposed in the circumferential direction of a cylinder unit that surrounds the outside of the heat-shielding air layer. The atomized-fluid supply paths and the fuel gas supply paths are disposed alternately and uniformly. Based on this structure, it is possible to take a large thickness for the heat-shielding air layer to a maximum extent in a radial direction. Therefore, it is possible to protect the fuel oil supply pipe disposed at the center, from high temperature at the outside of the pilot nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6144277
Abstract: An electric noise absorber comprising at least two ferrite pieces having abutting planes, at least two case members containing the ferrite pieces respectively and being closed by means of engagement members, and a spring member provided in at least one of the case members for pressing the ferrite pieces against each other when the case members are closed. Since the case members for keeping the ferrite pieces in appropriate positions and the spring member for pushing up the ferrite pieces for close contact are separately molded, the case members are bestowed with strength and the spring member with elasticity, both suitable for their own purposes. The case members requires no apertures for biasing members and therefore outside magnetic substance is prevented from contacting with the ferrite pieces contained in the case members.

  • Patent number: 5344080
Abstract: The shower head is composed of a spray head disposed at the forward end of a spray housing, a distributor disposed in the spray housing and having first and second supply openings, and a selector. By rotating the spray housing, the selector can be moved axially in the distributor. The shower head also has a first chamber disposed at the forward end of the distributor, a straight spray nozzle disposed at the forward end of the first chamber, and a needle valve. The needle valve can be slid in the first chamber and is composed of a needle and a circular plate resiliently urged to a closed position. Only when the selector pushes forward the circular plate to provide a straight spray does the straight spray nozzle communicate with the inside of the distributor. In other cases the distributor is closed by the circular plate so that the inside of the shower head is protected from dust or other foreign particles.
