  • Publication number: 20030205076
Abstract: The invention provides a measuring method of a tread wear amount by using a pneumatic tire in which a mark portion is formed on a part of a tread surface, the mark portion changing its surface shape as wear progresses. Image data of the mark portion is detected, the detected data is inputted in processor means, and then the tread wear amount is determined by use of either ratio referential data of the mark portion inputted in advance and corresponding to the wear amounts of the tread surface, or a formula inputted in advance for computing the wear amount, thereby facilitating automatic measurement of the tread wear amount.

  • Publication number: 20020093422
Abstract: To provide a transponder for tire, in which the physical quantity in an atmosphere within a tire air chamber can be accurately detected by a sensor and which can be vulcanized in a state in which it is embedded in the tire, a tire with the transponder, and a manufacturing method of the tire. According to the present invention, a transponder obtained by hermetically sealing, by a housing, a circuit substrate with the sensor and other electronic components packaged is embedded between an inner liner and a carcass ply. A green tire thus embedded is vulcanized, and after the vulcanization, the tip end portion of a protruded portion of the housing is removed together with part of the tire inner wall surface, and an aperture is formed at a tip end of the protruded portion to communicate an interior of the tire air chamber with the sensor within the housing.

  • Patent number: 6147659
Abstract: The present invention relates to a reliable transponder 3 for a tire and a reliable transponder-provided tire which are not broken while the tire runs or the tire is formed or cured, by using various metallic component members used in the tire as an antenna directly connected to the transponder 3 and thereby, further decreasing the transponder 3 in size. For example, by electrically directly connecting the transponder 3 with a conductive wire 131 or bead wire 161 in a jointless belt 13A set to the inner and outer peripheries of the tire, the wire 131 or bead wire 161 is used as the receiving and transmitting antenna of the transponder 3. Thereby, it is possible to decrease the transponder 3 in size and to increase the communication distance between an interrogator and the transponder 3 without increasing the transmission power of the interrogator.

Abstract: In a multiroom air-conditioning apparatus, refrigerant flow between plural outdoor side units is controlled so that abnormality (lack or excess) of refrigerant amount in an outdoor side unit in operation is redressed. For example, when surplus refrigerant exists in an outdoor side unit, the refrigerant flow is so controlled that the surplus refrigerant is pushed out (flow out) into an outdoor side unit in non-operation. In addition, the output of the air-conditioning apparatus is smoothly variable (controllable) in accordance with an air-conditioning load over the whole air-conditioning load range from the minimum (zero) load to the maximum load.
