  • Publication number: 20030002085
Abstract: Remote data entry is performed in such a manner that a plurality of entry items and a plurality of data items are caused to collectively enter within one communication and the check sum is calculated simultaneously with the data entry so that abnormality of the data is easily detected even if the contents of the entry data are changed due to the abnormality occurring in a facsimile apparatus. Data is collectively stored in a receiving buffer and a great quantity of data is caused to remote enter if the capacity of the buffer permits. After all remote data entries have been completed, the check sums of all entry memory regions are performed so that the memory capacity of the program code of the check sum is saved.

  • Patent number: 6417935
Abstract: When a plurality of pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission, the direct combination of the image data having different resolutions and the resulting recording of the image data on one record sheet while the image is partially expanded or reduced are prevented. In combining two pages of image data into one page of image data for transmission within a range in which the number of read lines of read image data does not exceed the number of available lines for recording per page at a transmission destination terminal, if the read resolutions of both image data are equal, the two pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission, and if the read resolutions are different, the combination is not conducted and the image data of the respective pages are transmitted as the independent pages of image data.

  • Patent number: 6301018
Abstract: A communication apparatus capable of transmitting image data in a form capable of reducing a running cost is provided. When a plurality of pages of image data to be transmitted can be recorded on one record sheet at a receiving station, a plurality of pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission within a range in which the image data are recorded on one sheet at the receiving station and in such a manner that the plurality of pages of image data are recorded on the record sheet in vertically evenly divided areas.

  • Patent number: 6130965
Abstract: A facsimile avoids waste of record sheets due to recording of image data only at the top of a record sheet with the bottom of the sheet being left blank. This is achieved by summing the number of lines on a plurality of document sheets, with the sum being compared with the sub-scan length of the record sheet, and if the sum can be accommodated by the record sheet, the image data of the plurality of document sheets are combined as one page of image data for transmission.

  • Patent number: 6088131
Abstract: A communication apparatus can transmit image data stored in a memory in a manner capable of reducing the running cost. The number of input lines for each page is recognized for image data of a plurality of pages input and stored in the memory. When transmitting the stored image data of the plurality of pages, the number of recordable lines per page of a recording sheet used in a communication partner's terminal is recognized, and image data for one page obtained by combining image data of a plurality of consecutive pages is transmitted. The reception side combines a maximum number of image data for a plurality of pages recordable on a single recording sheet, and transmits the obtained image data as image data for one page. Image data of different files for the same communication partner are also combined in the above-described manner.

  • Patent number: 6005675
Abstract: A control command indicating the end of a command is set in a remote command in file data to be transmitted, and the remote command is transmitted as packet data having a data length based on the control code to a receiving apparatus. When the receiving apparatus extracts the command from the received packet data, it informs, as a response signal, to the apparatus which transmitted the command that the command was extracted, and the transmitting apparatus restarts command transmission from a portion where the response signal cannot be received.

  • Patent number: 4975716
Abstract: A thermal development image forming apparatus includes an exposure section, an overlapping section, a developing/transfer section, a sheet separating section, and a correcting section. The exposure section forms a latent image by exposing a photosensitive sheet. The overlapping section overlaps the exposed photosensitive sheet on an image-receiving sheet. The developing/transfer section heats/presses the overlapped sheets so as to develop the latent image on the photosensitive sheet and transfer the developed image onto the image-receiving sheet. The sheet separating section separates the photosensitive sheet from the image-receiving sheet image upon image development/transfer. The correcting section for correcting skews of the sheets in a feed direction is arranged in a step prior to that of the sheet separating section.
