  • Patent number: 4680432
Abstract: A key switch structure comprises a first insulating cover having on one surface thereof a first conductive layer and an anisotropically electrical conductive layer printed on the first conductive layer, a second insulating cover having one surface arranged at a side opposite to the anisotropically electrical conductive layer on the first cover member, and a second conductive layer sandwiched between the anisotropically electrical conductive layer and the second insulating cover. At least, one of the first and second insulating covers being flexible. A depression force is selectively introduced from the other surface side of the flexible cover through the anisotropically electrical conductive layer so as to form a conductive path between the first and second conductive layers.

  • Patent number: 4680724
Abstract: A sheet-like miniaturized electronic device includes an electronic component assembly with a wiring base having switch contacts and a semiconductor IC chip operated by signals from the switch contacts. A display panel displays data according to signals from the semiconductor IC chip, and a battery supplies a drive voltage to the semiconductor IC chip. The wiring base, display panel and battery are electrically connected to one another and arranged in the same plane. An upper cover is provided in close contact with the upper side of the electronic component assembly, and has an operating section and a transparent display window. A lower cover is provided through an adhesive layer to the underside of the electronic component assembly.

  • Patent number: 4668314
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a small electronic device includes intermittently feeding predetermined length of a base film, which forms a film strip; arranging electronic elements, e.g., a film-like liquid crystal display cell, a film-like solar cell and a printed circuit board, on a predetermined region of the film strip; arranging a frame on the film strip, so that the frame surrounds the electronic elements; depositing an adhesive onto the film strip; placing a panel on the film strip; moving press means on the panel from one end of the panel to the other end thereof, thereby pressing the panel and bonding the same to the film strip; and cutting the film, thereby forming a semifinished product. This method further includes detecting the position of the periphery of the semifinished product and trimming unfinished portions with a laser beam, thereby forming a finished product of a prescribed shape and size.
