  • Patent number: 11926227
Abstract: In a moving-object power supply system, a control unit selects, as a power transmission segment, one of segments included in at least one power transmission section. The control unit supplies, through a power supply circuit, power to the power transmission segment to thereby generate a magnetic field through a power transmission coil of the power transmission segment. The control unit determines, based on an ascertained first electrical characteristic of the power transmission segment and an ascertained second electrical characteristic of at least one power non-transmission segment, whether there is a malfunction in each of the power transmission segment and the at least one power non-transmission segment.

  • Patent number: 5507119
Abstract: Automatic slide door mechanism includes a slide rail secured to a slide door of a vehicle and which is extended in the fore-aft-direction of the vehicle, a slide rail guide holding the slide rail and held by an arm rotatably coupled to a main vehicle body, swing driving actuator for rotating the arm towards inside or outside of the vehicle, and slide driving actuator separate from the swing driving actuator, the slide driving actuator being held by the slide rail guide and adapted for actuating the slide door and the slide rail in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle. This assures smooth and prompt operation during movement of the slide door in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle and a sufficiently large torque during movement of the slide door towards inside or outside.

  • Patent number: 5287585
Abstract: A windshield wiper apparatus for a vehicle includes a rotatably supported main shaft to which a wiper arm is secured, a main lever secured to the main shaft, a cam member arranged eccentrically about the main shaft, a plate turnably supported on the main lever, a subordinate lever having one end arranged about the cam member and another end connected to the plate, an arm turnably supported on the plate and having a joint to which a wiper drive mechanism is connected, and a turnover spring arranged between the plate and the arm for holding the arm at a predetermined position. If the wiper arm is moved by wind force during operation at high vehicle velocity, this motion is compensated for by adjusting the oscillation sweep of the arm in such a manner that the wiper arm will reverse direction at its normal upper reversal point. The wiper arm is thus prevented from striking the vehicle pillar, without reducing visibility through the windshield.

  • Patent number: 5236233
Abstract: A lid lock apparatus is comprised of a lid pivotally mounted to a vehicle-body for opening/closing an opening formed therein and movable between an opening position and a closing position, a locking mechanism which is in engagement with the lid in order to hold the lid at its closing position, a first driving mechanism associated with the locking mechanism for releasing the lid from the locking mechanism, a second driving mechanism associated with the locking mechanism for releasing the lid from the locking mechanism, and a device for assuring operations of the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism which are independent of the second driving mechanism and the first driving mechanism, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5222774
Abstract: A lid lock apparatus is comprised of an opening formed in a vehicle-body, a lid pivotally mounted to the vehicle-body, a locking mechanism is connected to the plate and has a shaft which engages and disengages the lid when operated to its closed and opened condition, respectively. A driving mechanism which is arranged for releasing the engagement between the shaft and the lid when in the closed condition, is mounted on the locking mechanism and positioned in such a manner that the driving mechanism is set to be in close relationship to the plate while being perpendicular to the axis of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5201094
Abstract: A wiper apparatus for a vehicle windshield having a linkage pivotably attached to a main driving lever. Linkage is also coupled to a motor to rotate main lever for rotating a main shaft limit positions for selecting resting place of wiper blade. An eccentric cam is rotatably mounted to the main shaft with an intermediate member rotatable relative to the cam and attached to the linkage. A driving mechanism rotates the cam to adjust the position of the linkage relative to the driving lever which in turn determines the upper and lower position of wiper blade.

  • Patent number: 5161280
Abstract: A windshield wiper assembly provides variable contact pressure between the wiper blade and the windshield by utilization of a lever arm variably movable within a cam slot as the windshield wiper reciprocates across the windshield. A spring provides a bias force between the wiper arm and the lever arm of the assembly. The spring force acts through a moment arm to urge the wiper blade into contact with the windshield. The magnitude of the moment arm through which the spring bias force acts to urge the wiper blade into contact with the windshield is adjusted in accordance with the position of the wiper blade on the windshield as a result of the predetermined configuration of the cam slot which acts on the lever arm to which one end of the spring is attached. In this manner, the contact pressure between the wiper blade and the windshield is reduced at the extreme ends of the windshield wiper throw so as to reduce the noise typically associated with the windshield wiper reversing direction on the windshield.

  • Patent number: 5090081
Abstract: A windshield wiper includes a first pin connected to a drive mechanism, a primary lever supported by the first pin, a second pin mounted to the primary pin, a wiper arm fixedly mounted to the second pin, the primary lever being rotated about the second pin by the drive mechanism to cause reciprocating motion of the wiper arm in an arcuate path, a first cam member rotatable about the first pin, a second cam member rotatable about the second pin, and a secondary lever for connecting the first cam member and the second cam member together. The second cam member is so rotated as to allow a center of the first cam member to move relative to a center of the first pin, thereby changing the effective length of the primary lever such that the arcuate path of the wiper arm is changed. A wheel gear is used to rotate the second cam member through a predetermined angle. The second cam member is rotatably supported by a stationary member. A gear portion is meshed with the wheel gear and rotated by the motor.
