  • Patent number: 10363774
Abstract: A tubeless spoked wheel including a rim and a hub connected with wire spokes includes a rim that has no through-hole and is narrow in the vehicle width direction. A plurality of internal threads are aligned circumferentially in an annular raised portion arranged along the centerline of a rim. A connecting member that is hollow and has an external thread on its outer periphery is screwed into each internal thread. Each connecting member is pre-engaged with a distal end of a spoke in a rotatable manner. Each spoke bends at a position outward from the connecting member, tilts toward a hub, and has its basal end connected to a right or left flange of the hub with a nipple. The spokes are connected to the annular raised portion to narrow the rim in the vehicle width direction. The spokes are rotatably supported on the connecting members.

  • Patent number: 10288639
Abstract: A wheel hub, a pulsar ring, and a magnetic sensor are provided. The wheel hub supports an axle. A brake disc is secured to the wheel hub. The pulsar ring is secured to the wheel hub. The magnetic sensor is configured to detect a passing of a pulsar hole disposed on the pulsar ring. The wheel hub forms a cylindrical outer peripheral surface as an outer peripheral side spigot portion. The brake disc includes a disc-side spigot portion in contact with the cylindrical outer peripheral surface. The pulsar ring includes a ring-side spigot portion in contact with the cylindrical outer peripheral surface. The brake disc and the pulsar ring are co-clamped and secured to a hub-side flange formed at the wheel hub.

  • Patent number: 10093385
Abstract: A straddle-type vehicle includes a steering stem, a top bridge, a first front fork, a second front fork, a front wheel braking unit, an ABS modulator, a supporter, and a brake pipe. The front wheel braking unit is provided at the first front fork. The ABS modulator is disposed rearward with respect to the top bridge. The supporter is provided at the second front fork forward with respect to the top bridge. The brake pipe extends from the ABS modulator to the front wheel braking unit through the supporter. The brake pipe between the ABS modulator and the supporter passes through a space between the head pipe and the second front fork below the top bridge. The brake pipe between the supporter and the front wheel braking unit passes through a position higher than the top bridge to be connected to the front wheel braking unit.

  • Patent number: 9511622
Abstract: A wheel is provided which makes the removal of sand easy at the time of manufacturing the wheel by casting, while realizing the reduction of a weight of the wheel of the vehicle. The wheel of a vehicle includes boss portions which extend in the wheel axial direction from intermediate portions of spoke portions, in the wheel radial direction, and on which a brake disc is mountable. The boss portions are formed with boss inner hollow portions which are continuously formed with spoke inner hollow portions of the spoke portions. Through opening portions which penetrate the spoke portions in the wheel circumferential direction are formed on a portion of the spoke portions on which the boss portions are formed, at the position outside the boss portions, in the wheel radial direction.

  • Patent number: 9199687
Abstract: A wheel speed sensor is provided between a front wheel and a front fork. The wheel speed sensor includes a sensor body to be supported by the front side of the front fork. A front fender includes a downward extending portion extending downward along the front side of the front fork. The downward extending portion covers the sensor body. As such, the influence of an arrangement of a sensor body on the design in a saddle-type vehicle provided with a wheel speed sensor between a front fork and a wheel is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 9156453
Abstract: In a motorcycle including a vehicle body frame, an engine supported by the vehicle body frame, an air cleaner box arranged above of the engine, and an ABS module capable of decompressing brake pressures of front and rear wheels, the ABS module is arranged at a position above the engine, rearward of the air cleaner box, in proximity to the left inlet port and a right inlet port of the air cleaner box for sucking outside air, and in suction routes of the left inlet port and the right inlet port. Therefore, a cooling effect with respect to an ABS module to suppress a thermal influence on the ABS module can be secured.
