  • Patent number: 11061236
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a head-mounted display that achieves smooth communication that allows a wearer of the head-mounted display and an outside person to understand their intentions with each other, and a control method of controlling the head-mounted display. Head-mounted display includes: sound receiver that receives a sound coming from a specific direction; voice detector that detects a voice from the sound received by sound receiver; head movement detector that detects movement of the head of the wearer of head-mounted display; external display that displays externally visible information; and response detector that, when voice detector detects the voice, and head movement detector detects movement of the head of the wearer facing toward the specific direction, displays information indicating that the wearer has responded to the voice on external display.

  • Patent number: 10603540
Abstract: A device includes: a controller that converts a pressure value detected by a pressure detector into visual or aural lingual pressure information changed depending on a magnitude of the pressure value; and an information output unit, such as a buzzer and a color display LED, that outputs the lingual pressure information in response to a signal from the controller. The information output unit outputs lingual pressure information different depending on a pressing force applied on an elastic balloon by a tongue, allowing users such as patients and elderly people to continue a training without being bored.

  • Patent number: 9788082
Abstract: A terminal device has a network interface that forces network connection when not connected to a network. The terminal device that has a network interface includes a connection check unit that makes a check as to whether the terminal device is connected to a network, and an invalidation unit that, when the connection check unit judges that the terminal device is not connected to the network as a result of the check, invalidates a function included in the terminal device.

  • Patent number: 8391686
Abstract: An optical disk for recording stereoscopic videos and high-quality video signals and a system for reproducing the videos and signals from the optical disk are made compatible with the conventional video reproducing system. A reproducing device which is used for reproducing stereoscopic videos and high-quality videos obtains stereoscopic video or high-quality videos by reproducing both first and second interleaved blocks on the optical disk in which first and second video signals are alternately recorded on the left and right sides by dividing the first and second video signals into frame groups of one GOP or more and a reproducing device which is not used for reproducing the stereoscopic videos and high-quality videos obtains ordinary videos by only reproducing either the first or second interleaved block by jumping tracks.

  • Patent number: 8238715
Abstract: An optical disc includes a data area for recording a plurality of video segments and an index area from recording original type chain information and user-defined type chain information. The original type chain information defines an original type chain including first ones of the video segments by describing a reproduction order of the first video segments. The user-defined type chain information defines a user-defined type chain including second ones of the video segments by describing a reproduction order of the second video segments. The first video segments are positioned in the data area in the reproduction order of the first video segments whereas the second video segments are positioned in the data area independently of the reproduction order of the second video segments.
