  • Patent number: 6749767
Abstract: A mixed powder useful as a starting material for dust core comprises a uniform mixture of a soft magnetic powder and a binder resin so that the resultant dust core has an electric resistance capable of suppressing an eddy current between the soft magnetic powdery particles and high mechanical strength at room temperatures and also at high temperatures. In the mixed powder, the binder resin is made of a phenolic resin powder which has a methylol groups in the molecule and preferably has an average particle size of 30 &mgr;m or below and wherein when the phenolic resin powder is dissolved in boiling methanol in large excess, a content of an undissolved matter is at least 4 wt % based on the total of the phenolic resin. A dust core obtained from the mixed powder and its fabrication method are also described.

  • Patent number: 6604848
Abstract: In the case of thickening a feed resin without pre-drying, a device is taught to enhance the thickening effect. The device includes a chamber 4 having a mixing rotor therein for continuously mixing a resin between a feed port 2 and a discharge port 3. A plurality of vent ports 7 connected to vacuum pumps 8, 9 are provided for reducing the pressure in the chamber. An element, e.g. a screw feeder 10, is provided for introducing a viscosity-increasing chemical agent into the chamber. The screw feeder is isolated from the reduced pressure areas of the chamber by elements 35, e.g. reverse screw flights of the rotor. In operation, feed resin from a hopper 6 enters the chamber through port 2 and is dehydrated while being continuously mixed in a drying section 14 via vents 7. After addition of the chemical agent, the resin is continuously mixed in a thickening section 15 while being deaerated.

  • Publication number: 20030122284
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a bladder which is unlikely to have a shapal variation along the inner wall surface of the tire and can satisfactorily extend along the inner wall surface of the tire. An inventive bladder is used to press the inner wall surface of the tire by a pressurized heating medium during the vulcanization of a green tire and is comprised of a fabric layer (purl stitched fabric layer 12) and rubber layers (silicone rubber layers 11, 13) placed one over another. Elongation rates of the fabric layer in warp direction and in weft direction both exceed 15% and satisfy: 0.4≦elongation rate in weft direction/elongation rate in warp direction≦6.0. Since the fabric layer has good extensibility, it can elongate with the rubber layers.

  • Patent number: 6551085
Abstract: A bladder for a vulcanizer includes, as a constituent member, a low elongation material with stable properties at vulcanization temperatures. During a vulcanization-molding process, the bladder is pressed against the inner surface of a green tire using a pressurized medium. The pressurized medium can be at vulcanization temperatures. The bladder has substantially the same shape as the inner wall surface of the tire that is formed using the bladder. As a result, irregularities in the shape of the inner wall surface of a tire rarely occur, and the frequency of exchange of bladders can be reduced. The vulcanizer bladder can include a conductive material or a magnetic material, both of which can be heated by using an induction heating coil. The use of both heat from the pressurized medium and heat generated in the bladder to vulcanize a green tire can shorten the period of time required for vulcanizing-molding.

  • Patent number: 6409949
Abstract: A polyester resin is thickened in a chamber 4 by first introducing the feed resin through a port 2 and dehydrating in a drying section 14 under reduced pressure. A chemical agent is then added to the dehydrated feed resin and mixed therewith in a thickening section 15. The mixing occurs while deaerating under reduced pressure. The chemical agent functions to either increase the viscosity of the feed resin or suppress the lowering thereof.

  • Patent number: 5895538
Abstract: A truss type extruded aluminum section is formed of a pair of planar plates and ribs, wherein hollow portions are formed within said section by the ribs and the planar plates. Vibration-damping resin is provided on the inner surfaces of hollow portions, and particularly on the inner surface of the planar plate and on a single surface of the inclined rib. With this arrangement, the vibration energy bending the planar plate and the rib is converted into a heat energy. In the case of manufacturing such truss type extruded aluminum vibration-damping section, for making easy the insertion of the vibration-damping resin in the hollow portion, the vibration-damping resin is stuck on a plastic film to form a long planar body. The plastic film serves as a cover or an adhesive. Moreover, in the case of directly inserting the vibration-damping resin sheet, the vibration-damping resin sheet is subjected to embossing on the adhesive-bonding side for allowing air to escape.

  • Patent number: 5756603
Abstract: The present invention provides a method capable of continuously efficiently producing a 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid oligomer while effectively removing the water contained in a raw material and the water produced by dehydration reaction. In production of a 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid oligomer by supplying a 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid to a reaction system, a dehydration system is provided between a raw material supply system and a polymerization reaction system so as to remove the water contained in the raw material and the water produced in the polymerization reaction system. As a result, the raw material in the dehydration system is concentrated and then supplied to the polymerization reaction system.
